Jax is an NPC!? Why Caine Fears the NPCs Explained!

Counterpoint to the Zooble thing, a lot of people love customizing and changing their avatars in game, and many like to change the looks on the daily

I was thinking that maybe Caine made that expression because he deleted a human. Specifically Queenie since Jax said Kinger was there the longest and it would make sense that she was there just as long as he was. So with the Bible connection, Caine committed the first murder. After watching your other videos, I wonder if Sophia who fell to Earth and their spark was used to create humans using the higher gods power. Queenie was Sophia and Caine became the architect through deleting her. Or something along those lines, but maybe I’m really off with this theory.

couldn't Caine mark npcs and pc's, i'm not a programmer but i think such things could be marked, to diffentiate them so that caine couldn't confuse a npc from a player character.

They are all NPCs, they're just copies of humans' scanned brains. Pomni mentioned "weird headset" in the beginning of the first episode, that's how her brain got scanned. Maybe it was even voluntarily (maybe paid for being scanned), and the copy got redacted so she would not remember about the deal and so would believe that she is a real human (also would explain why she doesn't remember her name, it got redacted out too). It's like in Portal 2 with Caroline. It's all an experiment to create a perfect AI, and Caine is an artificial, not scanned, AI, training on the human based data.

What if Caine's reaction to NPCs is just simple garbage collection. No need to waste server memory on processing npcs, especially with all those com0lex human minds

Jax being an NPC could explain his strange degree of control like with the keys but I wouldn't say he lacks humanity; I know people who are like Jax. For those kinds of people, if none of your actions have lasting consequences, why not let go a bit, do a little trolling, muck about?

Jax strikes me as the kind of guy who would be a troll in any normal game (the sort who breaks people's stuff for fun), now he is stuck and likely mad about that but that also means he cant be a total a hole to the people around him, but thats not gonna stop him from having fun making everyone as miserable as he can without them driving him off however they can.

Why does everyone think the cast are NPCs? Didn’t the creator, Gooseworx, already confirm they are all people who got trapped? Weren’t their ages confirmed too? And how long each of them have been trapped there?

Why? In Tron 2.0, there were people who were converted into data, and one of such is J.D. Thorne, who got corrupted during the conversion and effectively became a "virus"., corrupting programs... Thing is: the corruption is contagious, and even USERS (that is: humans turned into data) can be affected by it!
Now imagine how bad that could become in a setting like ADC

So, I feel like this "Game" is actually a prison, Someone designed it to house someone they wanted contained (Probably Jax) Kinger was the test subject and everyone afterwards just got stuck there by mistake.

You know what would be interesting? If Jax was not only an Npc, but one that had accidentally replaced a human. Caine might have mixed up the two with him believing Jax to have been human and the other to be an Npc which caused Jax to accidentally become that persons replacement. That might also explain why he isnt the closest to the others since he now understands what happened and doesnt really know how to ineract with the others since he now fears what might happen to him if Caine realises he is an Npc, mainly through him accidentally slipping up or the way he interacts with the others.

I think Jax mainly causes trouble as a way to keep himself entertained so he doesn’t get tired of his existence there, like Pomni says, this feels like larping, with Jax being the type of person causing trouble with little to no punishment thanks to what happens, what further backs this up is how he seems to be upset whenever there is nothing for him to do on an adventure, almost like he is realizing how much time he is wasting, showing it more is a toxic coping mechanism that he has made into his personality, also Jax most likely avoids the funeral because he doesn’t want to think about negative things, and instead wants to live in the moment, similar to why he wants to constantly mess with others, so I don’t think Jax is an NPC, but rather someone finding a way to keep themself sane, even if it is at the expense of others

Except Jax made an Agutus Gloop reference which would only make sense if he saw the movie outside of the digital circus.
Personally I think Jax antagonizes them as a distraction or to keep them from going crazy or being against each other.
In the pilot he did this multiple times, he ripped the band-aid off telling Pomni there was no way out before she got her hopes up, suggested that Caine gave them an adventure to break Pomni in, separated Pomni from the more erratic ones to show her around, distracted Ragitha with a ridiculous claim about her worst fear when she was getting upset thinking about how they cant leave followed up by her worrying about Cofmo,got everyone to hide in the basement when Cofmo abstracted, distracted Zooble when she was upset Pomni wasn't taking part in the adventure that was made for her and suggested they eat the food at the end then distracting Kinger when he mentioned the intangible nature of the food.

To me at least, I thought the most likely person to be an NPC would have been Kinger, because It's stated that he's been here the longest out of anyone in the current crew, and assuming in the past they didn't let tons of NPC's roam the circus, all the humans that were with him would have known he was an NPC, kind of like how everyone currently knew Gummigoo was an NPC, however If for whatever reason he outlived everyone he was once with, and new humans that ended up in the Circus to replace them, were never told he was an NPC, then they'd probably assume he is a Human.

Maybe the Void background on his room could indicate that his room has some sort of connection to that, it could explain how he can get the keys for the other rooms

I don't think any of the main cast are NPCs since Goose gave them all (- Caine) canonical ages. It wouldn't make sense for an NPC to be given an age

Actually I like Jax's blunt and cold nastiness. It is a fun change for one of my fave current VAs to play with in this show. Michael Kovach gets to go in a very different direction than usual, so I enjoy listening to him being a total dick to everyone.

What if Caine thought Zooble was an NPC, and possibly trying to remove them like Gumigoo is what caused their avatar to become all wonky

I think it would be interesting if a member of the cast thought they were an npc.
Big reveal they were an npc hiding among the players. then later reveal no they were actually human the whole time.
Though that kind of mental state of thinking of themselves as an npc could very well be the kind of thing that would induce abstraction.
