Yes! Being able to fit into the tux is a nice bonus. He might not have lost a lot of pounds but I could see those exercises toning him up a bit.

ОтветитьA couple of lbs by end of month is about right, you'd lose more eating better - but just 2lbs if you changed nothing else is excellent. Do it for a year and you've lost 10 kg.

I love different ones .at least you did something.... sometimes thats enough to get to a second , third ohh i,ve finished a killer HIIT workout bud.good onya

ОтветитьDoing 2 sets kind of defeats the purpose of it being high intensity. If you find the exercises too ease, the correct thing would be to modify them a bit to make them more difficult. For example, doing diamond pushups or bicycle crunches. You could do one leg squats or do dips in the side plank.
The original exercises are meant for people out of shape or the bare minimum to keep healthy. When doing callisthenic exercises, you need to keep modifying them to keep the intensity up. Doing more reps is not a bad idea, but you are increasing volume, not intensity.

ОтветитьFor me, I discovered the workout has to be emotionally satisfying, if it isn’t, no matter how short it is, I won’t do it. Go back to the Jane Fonda workout days. Those were fun workouts: upbeat energy and music; fun exercise clothing; videos had lots of color; lots of variety. Most of all those workouts gently led you into the workout, so it’s easy to get going. This crap of doing burpees and other similar exercise is just no fun. furthermore, when I did those types of workouts, my experience was it was really hard but no real gain in what I wanted in terms of results. These days the mentality for a workout is that everyone has to train like an athlete. Why? For what reason? Everyone’s not an athlete. Can’t wait ‘till this phase of exercise lunacy is over.

ОтветитьI do a similar workout for around 10 minutes a day but with a 1600 calorie diet. It's worked wonders on jump starting my metabolism. I've accelerated the weight loss a bit and also after a month the body does look slightly mored toned but nothing that noticeable. Just healthy.

ОтветитьI was curious about the knee issue as well since I also hate lunges but good to know I would think you could increase intensity with a simple set of exercise bands too. Looking for something to shake up my routine without going to get a gym membership. Seems like something to try.
ОтветитьUp your fat intake, reduce your carbs weight falls off, but what keeps my weight steady is intermittent fasting. I drop the evening meal, not eating after midday whiah doesn't suit most people so drop breakfast and lighten up on lunch.
