The way this interview is conducted and the way it is shot really made Taylre seem like a NPC.

The greatest compliment an editor ever gave me as a colourist was that I attended to much to subtle detail he couldn’t see. That is the art of a good grade. Adjusting the feel, without distracting the eye.

So is he self thought, or did he also go to some kind of school?

color, but there's also audio, exposure,..actors. and definitely a good story.. color is not the only important part of a movie. You reminded me of a guy who one day sold the best pizza in town and it was placed on the newspaper, however many years later when his shop was about to be shut down he still believed he was the only one who could cook the best pizza.

How many colorists work on a film production??

basically, digital color grading was the worst thing that happened to american cinema. it reached such a hideous level that most movies are now almost duotone and pretty much unbearable to watch.
