Brisbane does have some hard to live with weather around January but outside that no other city in Aust has such a huge band of perfect weather ( well maybe the gold coast does) Basically we dont really have a winter just extended autumn and springs . If you have good AC and a pool handy it's all very bearable

So, Australia is a pretty new country. The cities pretty much look like cities in the US. With that come problems such as lack of public transportation, large distances, etc... how come Australia decided to copy the US, instead of the EU/UK (which would make more logical sense given history)?

As someone interstate who loves Brisbane and has intended to move back since just before Covid (Covid stopped us) I’d love to see your updated thoughts on how things are moving along, from the housing market, to projects and construction underway in the city, even your thoughts on how the city is feeling with all the additional Southerners who have moved there etc.

I am an American and watching this. I saw the gas prices were 17.46 per litre (I assume?). Is that correct. The converter of liters to gallons that I used (we use gallons in the US) said that was $66.00/gallon. That can't be right, can it? Where did I go wrong in my assumptions?

Expensive, poor public transportation and average open hours, very culturally enclaved, do i like it yes, why because i came for rural Queensland :) but I have now spent time in other cities around the world so can recognize some of the short falls.

Brisbane has very hot and humid summer and it's quite cold in the winter. It might not be going down below 0 celcius. But maybe it's from 0 to 10 in the winter. You guys can't bear the winter wearing only a shirt. BUT Brisbane's weather is very nice and sunny comparing with other cities.
