More recent archeologists and historians have shown that the nails were driven into a crucifixion victim’s wrists - not the hands. Nails in the hands would be ripped out of the fleshy hands due to the victim’s weight - probably prior to death. However, the piercings on Padre Pío show the nail marks where they are shown in paintings - which makes me wonder.

Except that ALL persons who were crucified in that era, including Yeshua (Jesus), were crucified with nails through the WRISTS and NOT through the hands. Why is that? Because nails through the hands would rip through. The bones and sinews were not strong enough and you would no longer be nailed to the cross. Nails that are hammered through the wrists would hold securely so this is why people of that era were nailed through the WRISTS and NOT through the hands. Crucified bodies were found with this evidence from that era. They were nailed through the wrists.

Padre Pio knew the day that he was going to die. That’s what the 50 years was not the 50 years in the future 50 years and Padre Pio’s future.

While I believe St Padre Pio was a very holy man its important not to believe everything that is claimed he said or did.

And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." Grant them a softened heart, receptive to the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

We trust in your divine plan, knowing that in Jeremiah 29:11, you promise: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." May those who are yet to know Christ find hope and purpose in their lives through His guiding light.

In Jesus' name, we pray, believing that your love knows no bounds and that through your grace, lives will be transformed for eternity. Amen.

my grandmother was a spiritual daughter of Padre Pio.
my uncle (his son) had just died, he was only 14 years old.
and Padre Pio, without my grandmother even showing up or knowing anything about her, said: "Your son is fine, he's in heaven, don't worry about his 14 years, Luigino is in heaven" (he also knew the name)
since then she has become a spiritual daughter, she has confessed over 60 times as a Padre Pio. I know it's hard to explain but Padre Pio was really something inexplicable because he read people's hearts.
