ОтветитьWhat a sad but great video . As always
ОтветитьOne of my coworker's parents was killed in that plane crash in 1979, my coworker was 4 at that time and was with her grandparents. She was raised by her grandparents. Yes they were lucky not to get on that plane but so sad both men passed away so young. Still dance to Ain't no stopping us now.
ОтветитьRIP🙏🏽🙏🏽💔💔🕊🕊🕊🕊
ОтветитьStill playing "Aint No Stopping Us Now" till this day! Classics never go out of style! May they rest in peace!
ОтветитьAin’t no stopping us now 💃🏾
ОтветитьLoved John Whitehead's son's album. Really wish they were more recognize, as well!
ОтветитьSo sad 😟 😥 keep up the good work 👏🏾 🙌🏾 the music industry is so sleazy. All we see is hits, gold , fame, and glamor we never understand behind the scenes 😖
ОтветитьLove these stories so much
ОтветитьRIP to both of them
ОтветитьCelebrity Underrated also did a story on McFadden and Whitehead as well
ОтветитьI hope you do a story on the Whitehead Brothers
ОтветитьAin't No Stoppin US Now is and still is a Cookout classic!!
ОтветитьBiz Markie also sampled Ain't No Stoppin US Now for his song Let Me Turn You on off his 4th album All Samples Cleared in 1993
Ответить👌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼😀🤙🏼😎👍🏼☺️🙂👏🏼
ОтветитьI had no idea. I wish I hadn’t watched.
ОтветитьAin't no stopping us now will forever be a legendary hit.
ОтветитьMcFadden & Whitehead.
ОтветитьI would love to see a story about Five Star and why they never toured the US. I love that group.
ОтветитьI love ain't no stopping us now
Ответить"I've Been Pushed Aside" is my favorite of the songs they performed themselves. "Pick Me Up, I'll Dance" by Melba Moore is my favorite song they did for another artist.
ОтветитьJust thinking about them
ОтветитьREST EASY..SO SAD. STILL LEGENDS IN MY EYES..STILL PLAY THEIR MUSIC❤❤💯
ОтветитьThat lets me know I’m in love & Why oh why were the two songs my mom wore out when I was growing up. Def in my playlist now😎
Ответитьtheyre writing geniuses. ' Aint No Stoppin Us Now ' also has one of the best baselines Ive heard in life 💛
ОтветитьI remember seeing them on a 2004 PBS oldies special and they were so excited to be performing together again. So very sad what happened to both of them, as they were extremely talented. May they rest peacefully☮️🙏🏽
ОтветитьAin’t No Stopping Us Now is one of the best songs of the late 70’s.
ОтветитьAin't No Stoppin Us Now will forever be a banger after 1979
ОтветитьMy late husband Philly Bassist and hall of fame inductee created the sound to this song (Which was stolen from him) and also wrote and recorded the bass line to this song!
ОтветитьMcFadden & Whitehead: "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now".
Death: "Hold My Beer".🍺
It's a shame that both of them r no longer with us but AIN'T NO STOPPIN US NOW will forever b a legendary jam
ОтветитьTheir career was crushed by the Disco Backlash, no doubt.
ОтветитьIt became a black anthem for the late seventies going into the eighties. For the optimism that black people had for all the accomplishments during the seventies, But then crack came and you know the rest. I remember they had a Spanish version also. They originally wrote the song for the O'jays but decided to do it themselves🎤🔥
ОтветитьI miss my dad and John. Their laughs would wake us up in the middle of the night and them banging on the tables and songs being made in the kitchen came next. As a kid you can’t appreciate what you were hearing. As an adult you realize how lucky you were. Rip to the dynamic duo 🙏🏽
Ответить😅🥹🙈 CALL ME AN OLD FOOL, CAZ LORD KNOWS I LOVE 😍 OLE SKOOL!!!...... (AND AM IN MY THIRTIES) 🥹👍🤧🤗👊😎 DAMN..... 😢🤦😫 SOOO SHOCKING AND TRAGIC 😢😢 R.I.P LEGENDS..... THAT SONG IS FOREVAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
