Flywoo LR4 HD Review: Amazing O3 Air Unit w/ No RemoteID Needed!

The GPS Rescue crash is caused by a known bug in BF 4.4.0. It is fixed in 4.4.1. I confirmed that the Flywoo CLI dump for 4.4.0 should work fine on 4.4.1, so you should upgrade to 4.4.1 not 4.4.0.

Do I need to use the DJI app for unlock restriction zone and remote id?

Or can I just fly with the drone as I want to with Googles ?

I've got the jumper T-Pro and flywoo Explorer 03 ,is there a way to set a switch on the transmitter to act as a photo capture button? also a button to allow access for camera settings?

I think I got pretty lucky. I am flying a 5" with BN220 GPS and it locks up to 14 sats or more, often. It does take around 3 or 4 minutes to lock onto 6 sats on cold start but hot start it's like 5 or 10s. I also tested the RTH with no problems at all, but I didn't let it auto land, I re assumed control when it was arriving back at home point (BF 4.4.0)

Lol. I remember watching the deadcat video. I had no idea that's where the term came from. It (the frame) just looked to me like a decent rendition of how a dead cat would look if lying on it's back. I am interested in a quad like this with all of the features and hardware, but a little bigger and sturdy. Would sacrifice a little flight time for the upgrades.. anyone have suggestions.

GPS signal processing is all done on the GPS module. What goes through the wire is just digital communication at pretty low speeds. It either works or doesn't. I don't see how shielding would improve anything.

I had problem with premature disarming in the air with the different values and in CLI dump are diferent numbers than those.

I'm debating on buying this, I typically use a 7 inch which I love but it be nice to take something smaller on travels and be able to fly distance.

As soon as anything you are flying leaves your view, I'd consider that long range, and (I'm not this gov't guy) the gov't would consider it even less. Having said that, LET'S TRY FOR 50KM ELRS!!!

If I buy ELRS version, do I still able use my DJI RC2 for this drone?

Hi Joshua, at the time of filming and or the test flight the sun had spewed out a large CME. It was in the “ severe” category.
This causes problems with GPS lock among other things.
Perhaps try again and you may see more satellites lock in.

Broken arm on a return to home. Doesn’t look like I’ll be buying one anytime soon and I’m very disappointed. So basically, a DJI mini pro three is better all the way around. Then again, I could probably buy a bunch of arms for the little drone.

I have the Explorer LR4 O3 and i want to fly it with my DJI FPV Controller V2, but i can't seem to figure out how to convert it to a "normal Mode" Drone controller, where left stick down means "no throttle" and not "fly down". I found videos on how to do it mechanically, but the software still flies as if it was in "DJI Mode".

I wish there was more info out there about the controller in general. For example: Is it possible to use it with the Explorer and at the same time with the Avata without having to rebind? Can i still fly the Avata with the motion controller, when i bind the FPV Controller V2 to it as well? Can i fly the Avata in "DJI Mode" with the motion controller and in "normal Mode" with the FPV Controller V2 without having to change settings in between?

I have tested GPS RTH extensively on my channel and in Betaflight 4.4.0 it does disarm too high in the air and could as in your case result in a broken quad. Betaflight 4.4.1 has added a few lines of code that appear to have this sorted. Bucking when returning can be smoothed out with settings.

Got one and like it. Going to add a compass so it can run inav. Betaflight getting better for long range but the artificial horizon is all over the place.

What stickends are you using for the DJI Controller 2? They look interesting.

This title indicates No Remote ID needed, but is it, really? You might explain when Remote ID is needed and when it is NOT. Did I miss something? What is the All Up Weight with the battery? You mention running Li-Ion battery. What is the All Up Weight with that battery. If that total weight with battery is over 250 grams, then Remote ID IS Required. That 4S Li-Ion battery weighs about 200 grams (more or less). So, YES, you do still need Remote ID. The GetFPV product page shows, and touts, this quad as sub 250 grams with battery that appears to be 4S 750 gram Li-Po battery with All Up Weight of 238.4 grams. Also, am I not correct that flying beyond visual line of sight violates the FAA regulations (unless you have a Part 107 license and a special waiver - which is hard to get and most folks might not have) Also, if the flight is considered a Part 107 activity, Remote ID is required regardless of the weight of the drone? So, basically, any long range flight violates the FAA regulations. Doesn't it sort of look like the advertising of this quad is a bit misleading?
