Francisca from Portugal fondly remembers her one year stay in the UK! #BritainPleaseStay.
Do you think Britain should stay? Then tell us why ! The reason could be as serious or as ridiculous as you like.
Here are some quick guidelines to posting a video. The format is simple :
1. The Question: Just film your answer to 'Why do you think Britain should stay in the EU?'
2. The camera: Who needs a camera crew when you have a phone!
3. Length: Keep it short, 10-30 seconds would be ideal
4. Language: Do it in English or why not do it in your mother-tongue?
5. Upload: Upload it onto the page using the hashtag #BritainPleaseStay and an administrator will post it as soon as possible (while taking into account a need to post a variety of languages and ages). Alternatively send us an email with a video attached to
[email protected].
6. Spread the word: If you have Twitter, you could post your message there too, and do help us spread the word by asking friends and family to do their own video !
About the campaign,
Please Stay is a pan-European initiative set up for one simple reason: to show Britons why their European neighbours would like them to remain in the EU.
The page is destined to help Europeans send their video messages from across the continent to our British friends.
It will operate for the duration of the campaign leading up to the British referendum on EU membership on 23 June 2016.
We welcome all the universities, organisations and individuals from around Europe who would like to join us and help amplify the Remain voice from outside Britain.
We will be posting short videos and photos on the facebook page, produced both by ourselves and by those sending contributions. We hope that we can create momentum and encourage as many European citizens as possible to upload their personal message to the Brits.
Our objective is twofold:
1) To create a pan-european platform with voices from every single country of the European Union;
2) To give a voice to ordinary European citizens from different backgrounds and interviewed in different settings, asking them the simple question: “why should Britain stay in the EU?”.
We hope that contributors from other countries will be inspired to do the same in their own environment.
The initiative began as a collaboration between students and faculty at Sciences Po and Oxford University but aims to branch out to universities and organisations from across Europe.
