About Hagler, Hearns tried to take out Hagler due to his slow starts of his fights. Hagler changed. Hearns wasn't prepared for this. Hearns is one of my favorite boxer. I hate to see him lose to anyone.

Stop. Tyson is the GOAT, and would beat Joe Louis in less than a round. Arguably a Snapple fact…

Thomas Hearns' hand speed was absolutely incredible! Couple that with the leverage he got in those punches and you have a "Hitman"! What a fighter!!

I followed boxing closely throughout this era. Never liked Sugar Ray , to much flash, show boat and the sports media made me sick how they fawned over him. I
knew how dangerous Tommy Hearns was but occasionally he looked awakward and I didn't think he had a great jaw. Marvin Hagler was my favorite , I followed his rise to the belt and knew he was the best out of the three. Duran's best days were behind him but could still pull out a upset with his ring savy. No one will ever convince me Ray beat Hagler , his littlen pitta pats at the end of each round never hurt Marvin, Hagler never took a step back. RIP The Marvelous one.

Tommy has a legitimate case for having both the best left jab AND the best right cross in boxing history. He also had an underrated left hook to the body that he often used to follow up his 1-2.

Marvin Hagler was the best left handed boxer, I ever saw. Being left handed was a very clear advantage in boxing. But Hagler not just left handed, he was also great. Just to say this, Hagler made a big mistake not using his left handed advantage in the first three rounds against Leonard. He would have won that fight if he did.

You have the perfect circle : Duran beat Leonard who beat Hagler who beat Hearns who beat Duran.
But Leonard's wins are always questionable as he was a rabbit in gay weather style, not a true combative boxer opposing skills to skills but rather trying to steal a win by running away 90% of time and only engaging in the sport of boxing 10% of his time on the ring. I've always argued that such style should be penalized with a new rule in boxing because when pushed to an extreme like gay weather did, it's no longer about clear cuts wins but one or two 'contact' punches over 8 rounds and the whole rest of the time running and being non combative.
