I’ve been a greatsword main since 3 ultimate. Played lance in 4u sometimes and loved it. Recently I tested something. Killed nergigante with the equivalent weapons on both lance and greatsword, my main. And the lance actually killed him two minutes faster and my heart broke 😭😂 I love greatsword so much because it makes the game fun but goddamn is lance efficient.

This video didn't show the essence of the lance. Best thing about lance it's shielding and counter attack. This video merely depends on huge damage, replace the lance with any other weapon would be no different at all.

Lance has always been a good weapon, what kills it in speed running is the absolute lack of players using it at all, if more people took the time to master it and speedrun with it, we would probably see it rank higher in clear times than we see it now, it has one of the most precise movement skill set in the whole game as well as one of the most pin point accuracy of all weapons in the game, It's an amazing weapon when played correctly, since it cannot be played the same as any other weapon, and an absolute love in team play since it can always stick on the monster like glue constantly punishing the monster for every single little thing it does without much worry to ones health, constantly a thorn. It is indeed, a gentleman's weapon.
