I use GeForce to play BG3, will vortex mods still work if I play through Geforce instead of Steam?

I'm currently stuck. I've downloaded the mods and on the mods page it shows them as installed and enabled, but when I boot up the game they're not actually active, and they aren't appearing in the load order menu. Any advice?

What about the notification that "BG3 support uses LSLib" and on the read me on GitHub it just says "extract it to the External\gplex\ directory". Where the hell is that directory? I can't find it anywhere.

I found vortex wasn't wroking, I had it directed to the right game folder but it wasnt installing any of the mods into it

ive been gaming for 30 years and never once used any mod on any game but with all teh fun clothes and camera mods ive been seeing for the game ive finally broken down. thank you for this tutorial as so many users online are so vague and talk about mods as if we all know everything "oh this is the trunk of everything!" like what does that MEAN?

I tried this and it immidiately broke my game, it wouldn't even get to the main menu, giving me an error message now i've been trying to fix it for 2 hours still no luck sadly....

welp, guess I should've checked if Vortex even works with GeForce Now before downloading all these mods :D News flash, Vortex doesn't work with GeForce Now.

I'm trying to use vortex with BG3, but it keeps telling me that symlinks keeps telling me that symlinks needs elevation or sth so it fails without an error message. I read that it might be due to the mod folder not being in the same drive as my game folder (my mod folder defaults to C drive, but my game is in an external drive), but i cannot seem figure out how to move the mod folder in vortex settings, does anyone know how i might fix this?

This broke my entire game and I had to delete all my files. What did I do wrong? Do you open in vulkan or the other one? I’ve used nexus for several games and never had problems until now

Nexus mods is a woke cancerous site. There are FAR better mods available.

Any reason my BG3 won't launch from Vortex? I edited the Vulkan option and saved it to DX11...hit the run button either at the Header of the program or in the tools section and it never launches. Doesn't even launch with no mods installed unfortunately.

I followed everything till reaching the "arranging load order" well I got 17 notifications about not being able to load order and ofc game isn't launching. SOoooo what do I do here? So, if I am downloading a mod that is a replacer, I need to make a copy/backup of the original file. My question, where do/how do I find that file to replace or backup?

Just in case someone does uninstall all their mods and BG3's main menu isn't popping up anymore.

search %appdata% on windows, open, go back one file to be in the "app data" file.

Go through \AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public
and delete the "modsettings.lsx" File

I am in control of my friends multiplayer saves so if I download mods for my singleplayer and disable for the multiplayer will there be a problem?
