Hardly know what to say after watching this. The whole topic is way center stage for me. I usually look for the one thing in pieces like this one, to take away and revisit the story with. At the end when he is in the cab looking backward at their apartment in the dark and the look on his face .... excruciating Hell

So original and clever! Beautiful film, with twinges of heartache.

Someone important voted for this, neverthelss Chris was clearly considerably out-acted, but then his lines could have been better written. They were quite droll. But it was interesting seeing husband and wife working together, and one can't expect on every occasion the same magic between the characters as Rachel helped generate in 'All Creatures Great and Small.' Sorry Chris.

Quiet a few red flags in her sentences only reveal themselves with the pictures in hindsight anybody? Asking as foreign language.

I know what is like as we age to have hearing impaired which is different from the "Silent Child" that was surrounded by family that seems to have little care for the child that need help in communicating with them. Reading lips is just one part of the communication but it doesn't offer much for the child or individual to communicate back. When the teacher started to teach it helped the child feel part of the normal world being part to hear and understand the other individual. It's so sad that some parents don't give a damn which happens sometimes and not fair to the person with hearing impaired.

The priceless subtle smirk of satisfaction at the end caught me by surprise. Loved it.
