Hi. Can you give some sort of idea of the cost of this engine replacement including all parts and labour?

i could be wrong but i was always thought that a big audi v6 like that is not made to rest on the pan like that. it can warp or cause gasket issues it should always be held off the ground and weight kept off the pan.

As a VW Multivan owner, I'm shocked at the bad online press the PD engines get as I don't have issues with mine (regular oil changes) and it's great to drive. However the rest of the online stuff out there regarding the newer VW / Audi common rail engines seem to be an absolute nightmare. And it's no better with other German marques. Tensioners, PCV issues, cats, always something.

Are these all best avoided / have the Germans totally dropped the ball with quality/complexity ?

Just a small note, even though this vid is older now: piston 'slap' in english refers to the noise when a piston is loose in the cylinder bore and is slapping the sides of the cylinder. Hitting the cylinder head isn't something you'd call piston slap. Great job!

You are great! I have s4 b8 2010, caka engine, 245000km, i replaced lambda sensors before catalic converters, planed also to change second ones. Do you think catalic converter could be already for change or it ccould last a lot longer?
