ОтветитьWhether this is a plot twist or not, you can't deny that it was very surprising. Good thing they put Andy in the cell at the end of the hall. And never moved him to a new one in all the time he was there.
ОтветитьI always felt this film is about men that don’t a fit in the world generally. I’m Aware they’re 99.9% criminals but the deliberate absence of backstory of crimes suggests that it’s not your main point of focus.
There’s heavy emphasis on how leaving the prison isn’t a golden ticket, which compounds the surplus men idea
And the lack of women or meaningful relationships mentioned in the seems to aim the message towards men that can’t make life work for them or that they don’t find their place in the world.
Even Andy’s relationship is explained as him not understanding the correct way to be with his wife.
Just to double down 😅 when they play the opera over the tannoy a woman’s voice essentially halts a whole prison which feels significant, especially as Red says that he didn’t understand a word (a metaphor for not understanding women or relationships maybe)
the way Red and Andy connect as friends and reunite at the end of the film is a real ray of hope for those lone wolves.
I dare say that i feel this way because I can relate to it and that there are multiple themes in the film but this always stood out to me
Oh my holy God 😂😂😂it’s a miracle!😂😂😂Am I blind!😂😂😂Found Now!😂😂😂Well What !😂😂😂 Conspiracy!😂😂😂 Ask cupcake!😂😂😂
ОтветитьFuzzy britches told the warden the hole truth
ОтветитьI think my favorite aspect of this scene is the extra amount of daylight pouring into the prison and especially in Andy's cell. Even with the drab grey colors, it seems more hopeful, like a new day has dawned which it has. Nice subtle touch to symbolize Andy's rebirth
ОтветитьWell he was right. She was an accessory to the crime.
ОтветитьIts 30 years since it was released. Its like yesterday. I still keep watching this beautiful movie.
Ответить"Man up and vanished like a fart in the wind". A truly amazing line.
ОтветитьThe way Hadley looks at the warden when he starts throwing rocks at them is hilarious.
ОтветитьThe look on Morgan Freeman’s face when the warden starts throwing those chess pieces is hilarious.
ОтветитьProbably the most iconic scene in movie history
ОтветитьAndy isn’t a murderr. He may have driven his wife away, which ended up getting his wife killed, which he blames himself for, but he also got Norton to kill himself. He’s not a murderer, but his actions did lead to the deaths of his wife, Tommy, and Norton
Ответитьwatched this move like 50 times... and i do not exaggerate.
ОтветитьLawdhavmercy... Morgan Freeman's eyes while looking through tunnel 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe ultimate battle of wits is that of the long game.
Andy bided his time, and struck decisively. Norton wasn't prepared for such a maneuver because he was lazy.
Can't believe this movie bombed in theatres. I thought back then people appreciated cinema.
ОтветитьAll I have to say is that Elmo Blatch was Hilarious 😂with that crazy killer laugh.
ОтветитьMy ex's husb 😮
ОтветитьHow did he stick the poster back on the wall from the inner side?
ОтветитьI like the human instinct of both Red and the guards ducking as Norton becomes unhinged and throws stones at them! I think both groups were in agreement that he had lost the plot!
ОтветитьDisappeared like a fart in the wind!! Poetry!!
ОтветитьCinema at its best
ОтветитьSomething I need to know about this film, but I still haven’t found out what the answer is. Who put the Raquel Welch poster back over the hole in the wall after Andy climbed into the tunnel?🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьThis guy was spectacular in the movie.
ОтветитьThinking about it now, wasn’t switching shoes with the warden an unnecessary risk? Just buy some nice shoes in town or if you need to visit the bank to get money first, say your nice shoes were stolen so your wearing your old shoes
ОтветитьHaha him leaving his prison shoes must have been a huge slap to the face 😂
ОтветитьSuch a great scene
ОтветитьShe has a really big hole under her skirt.
ОтветитьCan watch this movie again and again a classic😂
ОтветитьI like the quote
"I'd like to think that the last thing that went through his head, other than that bullet, was a fart in the wind"
If he didn’t throw that rock they would of never looked for Andy.
ОтветитьThe einstein poster is just mocking the warden.
ОтветитьUnfortunately I already knew what was behind that poster because of spoilers. I wish i never saw that spoiler
Ответитьworcester county jail
doug brothers pollywog pail
heartache crystal gail
It amazes me that everyone brings up how Andy was able to reattach the poster to the wall. I'm more curious how he got himself cleaned up with just a bar of prison soap after crawling through a pipe of raw sewage. Not to mention how the Warden's clothes and shoes fit him perfectly despite the height difference.
ОтветитьNothing beats the warden opening the box with the dirty shoes inside. He has that perplexed look on his face. Then the sirens perfect timing btw. You can see those wheels turning and then it hits him. Hands down. One of the THE BEST scenes.
ОтветитьThis movie is a masterpiece but unfortunately commercial it didn't do well in the market.
ОтветитьAnd just how did he get the poster back up after he left?
ОтветитьI remember when I saw that scene... my jaw just dropped
ОтветитьI keep looking at this scene and keep wondering how did he stick the picture back on the wall when he was inside the tunnel ?
ОтветитьThat ending music is perfect.
ОтветитьI love this movie because how Andy was able to fight back in the end and fight back hard
