Seems a really sound lad. I had high hopes for him. Seems Rowett had a hard on for him.

This bring back memories of why Rowett was so obstinate, the amount of times smith was left on the bench and should have been playing, and at the time most of us could never work it out.

Good player, wish he was given a proper chance, an attacking player in a defensive minded team.

I used to thinkWhat a crying shame we could never find a regular place in the team for him cos it was so obvious to me he had so much ability when he had the ball. Unfortunately so many managers these days are more concerned with what players are doing when out of possession and Rowett for sure is one of them. Best of luck for your future CONNOR, for a boy with your talent and ability you deserve more than you’ve had so far. Also, a big thank you to DAN for bringing these interviews to us, for us dyed in the wool supporters we are so lucky and fortunate that you do this.

I wasn’t a massive fan of his at the time but his assessment has changed my opinion a bit and reminds me why I never liked rowett. A player like him could never survive under rowett because he’s far too negative.

He would have been a 5+ million player. If we kept playing him, he had so much talent both feet aswel we need wingers in our squad. I take him on a free, no doubt about it. I wish u well. Connor, talk 2 chopper he might take u back

I thought Connor was a good player, that game he played against Luton when he scored and put a pin point cross in for Matt Smith was an excellent performance. Connor would have fitted in well under Joe Edwards.

Excellent interview as ever Dan. Lots of takeaways and things to reflect on, but above all it just confirms our physio team got their resumes off ebay

I wouldn’t normally suggest we take a punt on a previous player, but given he’s a free agent with lots to prove I can’t see the downside. Furthermore that right side attacking position is an area of concern.

It’s a great honest conversation and it probably sums up how players feel and are treated once the manager changes.
But also it shows how we are not doing well enough in treating injuries.
I really hope Conner gets a contract somewhere soon and can enjoy the rest of his career.

Conor brilliant mate, decent player, weirdly enough, personally spoke to Lee Gregory Fergie and Willo all said they never wanted to leave Millwall they were outed by Rowett the Tw at.

Great interview Dan, and a refreshing take from Connor in how he did with us. The one thing us fans can take from the interview (as if we didn’t already know), was how shit Rowett was as a man manager and how clueless he was in not picking players who had flair and could do something with the ball.

The way Connor left without a goodbye was disgusting by both Rowett and the club, and that never would have happened if Harris had been in charge. The lad is only 27 and has had two spells with Harris, so why not a third? Get him on a free transfer and give him some decent wages and put him on the right side and see if he can supply the ammo towards a big centre forward we could really do with right now!

Great interview. Shame he didn't get more game time, I really liked him as a player. Maybe Rowett didn't fancy him as he was a Harris player and wanted to try and mould a team with his players. Bring him back on a free for a season with smudge and stick them on the bench encase we are losing 😊

Great interview, brilliant insight from Connor. Always was a fan of him and was gutted to see it not work out for us. There is a fire under him and I wouldn't mind taking Connor back under Bomber with the likes of Casper and Zian in support, the right side would be his as Jed isn't around.
