I think it's so sad that Americans feel the need to segregate themselves into racial and ethnic groups. I feel like in the US your genetic heritage really defines you. That's so weird for me. It's not like that here in the UK. I'm a mix of everything, but it doesn't define me or dictate who I am?

I can only offer my opinion in that context.
1. He is brilliant AND passionate AND educated.
For me, his message would have been even stronger without the 'ebonics'.
ie Thomas Sowell.

I hope the instructor bitch that threatened to turn his mic off at his high school graduation sees this powerful young man in this speech & understands what she -- & those like her -- contributed to this poem, and how wrong she was for it. I also hope she got fired for it.

I went to a conference at another high school and he gave us a presentation! It was so awesome, he did a ton of fun stuff such as rap, and immediately woke all of us up. He was very funny and uplifting, and also incredibly kind and understanding. I wish him the best!
