I tested both 8m Edge v12 and Vortex 8m. Overall the vortex is easier to make tricks, his catch on heliloops and zenith is better, faster reactive turning and less bar pressure compared with EDGE. Vortex recovers faster after a kiteloop. Edge v12 has a bit more hangtime, end feels more confortable when riding fully overpowered. But I managend to make my tricks landed easier with the vortex due to his catch and faster stearing you can easily fix a kite position mistake juts before landing. The Vortex is a more allrounded and can do better than the edge in different styles. I also like the vortex for strapless freeestyle. For Foiling i thing the Vortex will be better because its ligther and faster and goes faster foward. I love both kites and now I have a problem, witch one I take for a session :P

Hello great review. I will use it for foiling and we normally like to go fast for long distance normally go out and do between 60 kms or 100 kms. it goes as fast as the Edge on free riding Foil. And also how is the bar pressure compare with the Evo Dlab or other kites with soft bar pressures.

Yeah. I see the Alula leading edge and battens.... and I realize that I'm content with my old used kites... so long as they still get me upwind.

The question is, has it gotten the easily accessible hang-time? Big air Aluula kites seems to lack that (usually needs to fly actively), that would be a huge differentiator.

Jesse, you da man......... How does it hold up in the waves on a surf board? Is it comfortable?

all aluula kites should have a special section dedicated to foil and light wind relaunch. as a big air foil rider i want a kite that jumps over 30mt, does doubles but also that is able to roll in the water and fly again in 6-7 knots. with such high aspect it could be a problem

Seems like a really cool kite, great job! I wonder if Jamie will be riding this...

Amazing kite! I had a chance to try it and also to interview few pro riders after the session. Some of them did their first double loops with Vortex and everyone were amazed by ease of doing loops and responsiveness. Also, few of the riders broke their PR records in the jump heights. So what to say guys - you have to try it to believe it! 😃🤙🏽

What a very American way of sales pitching. As an European I don't trust too much what Jesse said. Too artificial.

Why is there no 12m kite and bigger ?
These Aluula kites are really good in light wind, with bigger kite size flying in no wind.
Will you produce a specific light wind kite using Aluula ?

I was not interested in this kite at all, then Jesse did his sales pitch ... oh man, I want this so bad now.

Noticed the wingtips are collapsing and pivots so much on the doubles

Don't sound like a car salesman, yet sounds like every new kite manufacturer mouthpiece that has a new kite... 🙈

Compere it to something..... An older ozone, if you're afraid of upsetting other brands....
Only better addition is the 16 point system = less movement / mishaping of the kite under load, ie when looping = less lift/ air volume dump? Ie more air time/ float...
If im committed to a brand... You gotta convince me to come over.....

Interesting move from Ozone, loved to hear about the 16 point connection points with no pulleys, proper big air kite! 👏

and if possible I would also be interested in a comparison with the Edge in terms of upwind ability, this Vortex is an amazing step in the future, but maybe it's a little less high aspect than the Edge, so for kiters most interested to performance freeride which is the most appropriate, as upwind riding, and taking advantage of apparent wind building?

I use Edge's can you compare the Vortex to the Edge in terms of big air and hang time.
