Robert de Niro give a great performance in this movie
ОтветитьThis is what uber does nowadays. Rs dead ace naw just playin yall um yea im the troof git at me um jus celebrating r saviors birthday. Robert D is my hero. You targets dont get it. Read it 1 more time if you can
ОтветитьI reckon every actor was born to play one particular role in their career above all other...........and for me, De-Niro was born to play Travis Bickle more than any other role he ever played (including Raging Bull).
ОтветитьI just realized the guy at the desk is the same guy who played the killer in Maniac (1980), I recognize those bug eyes
ОтветитьThe micromovements in his face, when he said his age was 26 😂
ОтветитьYou gonna break my chops?
ОтветитьRe: filmmaking, yes, this was a brilliant way to fully flesh out the main character with a mini job interview. So much gained here in such a small space. Setting, theme, character and the groundwork for the plot. Scorsese man….
ОтветитьAh I see - you spend your nights travelling around alone on the subway and busses because you can’t sleep. You don’t seem to have gone to school much and you don’t know what moonlighting is. When can you start? Imagine doing this in 2023!? Ah the seventies a more simpler time …
ОтветитьInterviews are not like this anymore. You just apply online & get a email confirmation lol . I was also thinking what the heck is moonlighting 😂
ОтветитьI think that manager is the gangster from Rocky
ОтветитьI was a 13 year old kid flipping the channels late at night in 1988.
I stumbled upon this first scene and it hooked me in.
ROBERT DE NIRO...ALWAYS THE BEST...HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM LI...ALWAYS THANKSFUL FOR YOUR BRILLIANT FILMS🎉🎉🎉🎉..KISS❤❤❤❤❤❤ BEST ACTOR OF THIS F***WORLD....EXTRAORDINARY
ОтветитьEverything changed when he said he was in the Marines 🫡
ОтветитьI've seen this flick 12 times and each one was like a different film and experience. How many movies can do that?
ОтветитьThis film would never get made today. No one has the balls. Now it's all comic book movies and Disney films.
Ответитьmay i say that, though this is by far his finest directed film, the opening scene is ‘appropriate’ enough not per the classical intro # of matters to be answeredealt thru the plot, but rather a promisetup of a self variant story’s inevitable universal end.
ОтветитьThe grittiness of 1976 NYC streets is its own character in this movie. Pure brilliance
ОтветитьJoe Spinell has a habit of appearing in the best films ever -- including the cult classics Forbidden Zone and Maniac.
And even when he's not the lead character, he never failed to give 100 percent and leave an impression.
He was supposed to star in Maniac 2 as a Childrens TV show host who becomes a vigilante after receiving fanmail from abused kids, and it would have been AWESOME. R.I.P.
I'm in school buddy
ОтветитьOnly thing worse than 10 seconds of ads is the 20 seconds of useless footage you put in front of this clip
ОтветитьIt's also a crucial scene in that it establishes something that isn’t really mentioned again: Bickle is a Viet Nam vet. Does he have PTSD?
ОтветитьYou'll never get movies that dare to look this gritty and grimey again
ОтветитьTravis hated drugs in this film
ОтветитьWorld class acting
Ответитьdont break his chops, aight?
ОтветитьTravis Bickle is the closest American cinema ever came to creating a Celinian anti- hero
ОтветитьHaving watched this film quite a few times now, I think it may be a tad deeper than we realise. I wonder if Scorsese actually made a film referencing MK Ultra psychological manipulation. There are plenty of clues if you watch and listen.
ОтветитьTaxi Driver's New York is like the gates of hell! This foreboding atmosphere that Scorsese managed to capture into the flick is to me what gave the movie its enduring appeal (because 70s NY really was as decadent as the movie portrays).
ОтветитьAh, the 70s. When you could actually walk into a place and just get a job instead of jumping through a thousand hoops.
Ответитьi cant sleep
Ответитьhey he's got a lot going on. I gotta commend him for at least getting a job n shit. he's functioning
ОтветитьAnybody have a problem with the line "there's porno theatres for that."?
If a man applying for a hack license says he can't sleep, aren't there other alternatives? Some guy off the street says he can't sleep nights and the tlc rep says "there are porno theatres for that."
his smile 😁😁😁😁♥️♥️♥️
ОтветитьPTS syndrome in war veterans is always hard to live with.
ОтветитьTHE ORCHESTRA IS IMPERATIVE TO THE OPENING SCENE, AND YOU CUT IT…. U SHUD BE SHOT
ОтветитьWHY ARE YOU FUCKING WITH THE MUSIC AT THE START YOU DUMB MONKEY??????!!!!!!!! FOR YOUR SHITTY CHANNEL
ОтветитьSpinell was GREAT as Maniac
Ответитьu can be lonely with millions around you
ОтветитьWhat was the big deal just because he said he had a clean conscious?
ОтветитьGreatest movie of all time to me. De Niro and Scorcese had a passion to this project where there’s no conglomerate studio backing them, just passion and a good story to tell. The display of loneliness Travis goes threw in Ny and thinks he needs to be the hero like In the western’s. Simply timeless 💎 I almost forgot I didn’t give Paul Shrader his props for writing the movie man’s a genius.
ОтветитьNoice
ОтветитьGreat intro. It tells you so much about him proficiently. So there’s no wasted in time in a drawn out backstory.
ОтветитьThe only fictional character I can actually relate to. Im done with my early 20s and this is my final day being a 26 years old kid. It's been one heck of a experience and I here's to more lonely nights wondering in the depths of my consciousness.
ОтветитьMan I never realized you can see Wizard in the background joking it up.
ОтветитьTaxi is a superb movie. The good old days when DeNiro was a talented actor. Then he became a hack later in his career and suffers from extreme TDS. Also started to believe he was a tough guy like many of the characters he portrayed when, in fact, he's the poster boy for being a pussy with no cojones. He caved in to big pharma and didn't include the documentary "Vaxxed" in his film festival. He facilitated Harvey Weinstein's serial rapes and molestations, he caved in to his ex-wife's compulsive spending, he said he wanted to punch a US President in the face. DeNiro is a loser and a wimp.
ОтветитьDang Deniro was hot back then I had no idea. Beautiful face.
Ответитьage: 26
He was a kid
Introducing one of the greatest film characters of all time.
Ответитьyou are the best
ОтветитьHere it is...
