Very clear and concise. I note that there was no mention of checking the recommended "Forward" direction on Continental tyres. Is this important?

Pull the innertube out, leave the valve and put air in a innertube figure out where the hallways see if there’s glass still in bedded in the tire so you don’t put a new tube in and get another flat

My inner tube on my MTB (size 29") punctures exactly at the bottom of the valve, its been 4th or 5th time. First I thought that cause was the friction with the edge of the hole where the valve goes through and the tube and I even placed a patch on a new tube over the valve, but had no effect. Any tips on what might be the actual cause of this ?

I just thought it might be the valve lock ring ripping the tube due to motion and pressure, but other than that, I'm out of ideas, perhaps to replace the grip tape (as the grip tape hole is not matching the wheel hole 100%).

Great clear video. At the end, when you talk about the line, I checked mine and I see the line more right above the valve.i.e.too raise.
I can't seem to get the line to look like the rest of the rim. Not sure if that is cause of my flats...

It don’t matter if your doing wheel barrow to tractor tyre like he says you always get the tyre into well of the rim but you always push the valve In slightly and start and finish by the valve it’s optional to put air but is a good idea

Put just a tiny bit of air in the tube to help it go in the tire easier

Thanks a million, this worked great!
I even found what caused my flat, a tiny piece of metal was still embedded in the tire (that I wouldn't have checked if I hadn't watched this tutorial!)

I remove punctured tube from rim and leave the valve in situ, then reinflate the tube locate the puncture and examine corresponding area on the tyre

I somehow often end up twisting the tube in the tyre when refitting the tube and only realise when I get the egg in the tyre after inflating!

Took a course recently and the teacher said to start at the valve when you put back on the tire.

That way, you have less of a chance to accidentally bent it when putting the tire back on.

Also you don't need a tool for the next step:

When it starts to get hard, pull the slack from the top to the bottom. The key is not to let go of the tire to keep the slack in your hands and bring it to where the tire in not on the rim.

Then you just push with your palm (not fingers!) and the tire is on the rim 😎

Can a 18" inner tube fit a 20"x4.0 wheel if you put a pool noodle in the tire. What other size inner tubes can fit a 20"x4.0 bike wheel or fat tire wheel ?

I have changed a number of tubes.
How come very often my valve is not straight (points to the left or right) after inflating the new tube, no mater how careful I am? Do you have any guess what might cause that?

I tried patching a puncture today, thought I had it patched up got the tube and tire back on only to find it wasn't pumping up. Started again this time replaced it with a new inner tube, put it all together and back on, same thing again wouldn't pump. Long story short tomorrow I'm going to a bike repair shop to have it sorted ffs 😆

Anther little tip is when your about to put the inner tube back on first inflate it a bit then using talc coat the tube "all of it" , just run the tube through your hands with the talc , this way any sticky glue bits are dried out and will avoid pinching .. also for detecting holes use a bowl of water , its far easier to see bubbles than feel for them ...

Absolutely brilliant video. Very clear and addressed all the issues I'd recently had with a tight tyre. The only omission is rim tape. My m

Mysterious punctures with new tyre and tube turned out to be because the bike builders had just used gaffer tape instead of proper rim tape around the spokes. The gaffer tape had frayed and kept allowing a spoke through over a bump. So worth including rim tape in The Cause of Puncture section. Otherwise 11/10!
