activison recently issue cease and desist to modded old call of duty games, even though the games don't have a store
probably they'll do the same, but they want it to populate more people, and then they'll do it. Out of all companies, activison/blizzard thinks 1 cent lost is the issue and not their stubbornness

There is a chance that HotS gets shut down completely. It would live on as a Starcraft 2 map though.

They need to add a mode like how Battlerite was.. just all fighting.. would fucking love that.. Battlerite was so good..... the best

I would have a thing to laugh about for the rest of my life if this thing ended up like how DOTA1 did. It would be awesome even if I never actually asked for it.

anyone in their right mind would want to play ROTS instead of HOTS is to get away from the frothing degenerate player base that is HOTS. thats it, be apart of an already existing RTS universe or be apart of a nazi freakshow. its that simple.

I mean ... they could put it in their resume I guess and apply for a job in Blizzard ... if it ever tries to be great again after the Microsoft purchase ... To keep the game alive this way, would be a like a lottery ticket, very slim chances... Still seems a huge amount of waster time. Could have made Dota 3 with blizz characters instead or starcraft 3 or warcraft 4 ..idk

Good thing to have in case the real HotS get shut down. OR, Microsoft should hire them to restore the real HotS

The minion death sounds seem normal from what I remember. I recall they always did that in hots. Not this loud but they were present or atleast when I played.

Hots with items and the flash from LoL mechanic.. the best moba that never was..

Oh man. Talandar and Fenix are two different heroes. I forgot about it. This is very clever.
I hope they add Edmund Duke instead of that "Hammer" hero.

I never played the arcade. It's way less intuitive than Garena I used to play custom maps for Warcraft 3.

People put too much trust in blizz. Just look at how they treat their employees and do things like a ground based root mechanic will root an airborn dodge ability. Either make the vines reach up off the ground or let the jump dodge the puddle on the ground.

My only hope is this can incentivize blizzard to pick up hots again.

Rots a game atleast is better than the original hots because hots seems really an abondond and dead game because blizzard really messed up would be funny if someone made an wc3 ripoff that makes everything better than wc3 reforge

Cast on release is enough for me to not play it. And that is a shame. They put so much hard work in and I respect it. I know it has the benefit of already having heroes for free essentially. But I already have them all as a long time player. I love that such a project exists. When I feel like playing HOTS I will probably play the Blizzard version. Again, I know it sucks to be like that. But it is what it is.

I see many atractive heroes yet to come like Yog Saron and Cthun as new Abathur style supports, what about Algalon the observer as new astral mage ? or just continue with dragon aspects like Malygos, Ysera.. I can imagine even Acolyte as counterpart of probius or zagara, even the map thats underwater like vashjir, same stuff is in the starcraft 2 also. There are so many Bosses and characters to add, stupid blizzard... Cheers up for ROTS !

Imagine the hate that spawned the desire to slog for four years so you can finally nerf junkrat yourself.

There is an idea that these guys, the team that is developing this add-on, have an eye on the prospect that sooner or later blizzard will be ready to return to the development of HOTS again.
This means that then they will again urgently need new developments, and even more so a new development team, especially preferably with experience. That's where these guys come in handy, especially since they already have two new heroes tested and completely ready!
In general, we'll wait and see. But personally, I am still completely satisfied with the HOTS and I am not eager to download starcraft, so as not to play starcraft, but just download another game inside the game as an add-on, which I may look at, but most likely I will not play, because I already have such a game...
