DW Weiss who directed the GOT later season took a steaming dump on the franchise. Like a lot of fans the fairytale ending pissed me off.
ОтветитьTerrible season 8 writing all the actors hated it
ОтветитьJust popping in to point out the clickbait title. I’ve seen the clip before.
ОтветитьSeason 1-3 Varys is a beast. Season 1 Varys especially. When he's talking to Ned in the dungeon and he's like "I WANT YOU TO SERVE THE REALM"
It's just like, damn, who is this guy. His whole character is dripping in mystery & esoteric knowledge, but you get the sense he's insanely powerful at the same time.
And then I mean, to have Varys die to Dany for some simple act of 'betrayal'. It's just like wot, lol. We're meant to believe this character that had existed at the forefront of the Westerosi political landscape, influencing kings and some of the biggest players in the game alike - that he would die because he couldn't navigate his way around Dany - who was far less skilled in deception, barely knew her way around ruling - pretty much inherited ALL of her power from her dragons/birth right.
There's no way Varys would find himself in a situation where he was being executed by Dany. He would be long gone before anyone knew what he was really up to. And he'd be playing the game 5-10 moves ahead of time.
Anyway.
I will never forgive D&D for seasons 5-8. Worst fumble in any entertainment franchise.
ОтветитьI like how setting down the script (because he was done reading it) somehow became "throwing script in anger" -- oh clickbait
ОтветитьI think the "throwing script in anger" is a bit of an exaggeration
ОтветитьI am very late to the table watch GoT, am I the only person who liked this final series 😬
Ответитьyou know there is a lot i could say about how overwhelmingly dissapointing this all is, but the one good thing i can take away from this is that its really heartwarming that the actors were this upset at how their characters were treated in the story, that they were so invested not just for their role but also for the fans and actually making art. All of the actors in the show were brilliant, some of the best acting and it would not have been easy considering how wild the concepts were to portray. If anything, the last few seasons really highlight the importance of sticking to source material, obviously they couldnt do that, but for some reason hollywood is starting this horrible trend of taking well loved stories and novels etc and then just doing their own thing with them, just like The Witcher. The thing is the story has already been created and has becomed loved because of the person who created it, the idea of someone else coming in and trying to do the same thing and build of the work of that person and think they can do it better has been repeatedly proven to be fasle and such hubris.
ОтветитьThey did the same shit with Littlefinger…
ОтветитьIs there a reason to have so many plastic bottles on that table? Lol maybe they wanted to wash down this bs of a script
ОтветитьSeason 7 and 8 are just wack, rushed.
ОтветитьHe literally set it down because his part was over. Not angry. Click bait bullshit
ОтветитьHorrible writing.
ОтветитьEven the dialogue is god awful. When George wasnt involved with the show, it was revealed how horrendous D&D actually are. They didnt carry this show at all, the writers, costume designers, set people, actors all did. They were just two front men who got the show going by going to a meeting. Thats all. Then they thought they became celebrities and rode on the success of everyone elses achievements within the show. Its hilarious their stupidity cost them their careers essentialy. Noone in Hollywood wants them lma9
ОтветитьYeah, this is why I can never go back to these seasons.
ОтветитьHe was right though. It was bullcrap.
