i have been to these types of Police parades and there are a lot of police presences, i guarantee if this happened in Sydney, the NSW Police will treat this as the Bondi incident and the media will go ape

Alongside this being the only scene of Heath Ledger's Joker without makeup, probably also the only part of the film where Ledger was (slightly) recognisable during his role as the Joker - with just the scars to make you understand who he is (and even then, it can be hard to catch).

He looks even scarier without the makeup.

The music building up when we relize something is wrong. We start worrying; “oh shit, where is the Joker?” Then Gordon looking around, and finally the reveal that Joker is in there the whole time and the entire squad suddenly aiming at the mayor. I absolutely love this movie

My Uncle an NYC MTA Transit Cop was an extra in this scene (he’s retired now) he was one the cops that grabbed the Joker’s henchman, he got to meet Gary Oldman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Health Ledger, and Aaron Eckhardt.

Seeing Joker normal without make-up makes me wonder what he does in his downtime, like does he eat, sleep, go to the grocery shop, walk about and hang out etc.

This movie is literally one intense grand setpiece after another, an extremely well-crafted thriller and you literally can't catch a break, the pacing is so tight, you are hooked to sit through it from start to finish. MASTERPIECE.

I wonder how many takes they did for this scene. This is one of my favorite scenes from this film.

With no word from the Batman even as they mourn commissioner loeb these cops have to be wondering if the joker will make good on his threat in the obituary column of the Gotham times to kill the mayor

It's interesting to see how they instantly drop their rifles after firing just one shot to blend in with the other police officers. This is the exact principle that makes it so hard to stop lone gunman as I understand. It's hard to trace a single gunshot and in turn it's hard to find a few certain police officers with nothing in their hands when they're surrounded by a sea of police officers dressed exactly the same.
