Hi, I am a 47yr old mom of 8 and currently pre-diabetic. I started keto over a month ago and started walking about 6days a week. So far I have successfully dropped from 222 to 208 since Oct 2023. Hearing all the news about ozempic makes me want to try for myself. Sounds so tempting but I'm afraid because I've heard you can't ever stop taking it once you start. Idk what to do.😢

It's so laughably simple medication.
It makes you feel full and you eat less thus loose weight.
Diabetics as well as fst people benefit from eating less.

Ozempic is pretty much like a vegetable. Vegetables have fiber which keeps you feeling full. People want pills opposed to eating healthy food. Welcome to America where everything can be fixed with a pill. What happens when someone comes off Ozempic? My guess is they will put all that weight right back on because they didn't make any lifestyle changes

Why doesn’t it make you more insulin resistant? If it ramps up insulin production???

Haha as a Carnivore, that eats a Carnivore diet I find it amusing but also sad that people use this drug so they can continue eating the wrong diet, which is the route of all their problems. Going Carnivore is a little difficult for some because at first, you need to break the wrong foods addiction. Wasn't hard for me personally but I understand why it may be for others, but once you are on Carnivore for about 4 to 6 weeks you don't actually want to eat the wrong foods anymore, you just don't care for it. Never felt better, never feel hungry, lost a lot of weight and will slowly lose more, and if you don't lose the weight too quickly, your skin is more likely to shrink with the weight, so no flabby skin hanging off you.

ozempic is a scam, best way to lose weight is some form of LCHF or keto diet as a lifestyle, the side effect of ozempic are also quite bad.

It's a repeating Patten , happened many times in history . This kind of drugs get popular very quickly with only temporary effects ,but cause unknow side effects which are mostly long term or permanent .

These people aren't counting their calories and exercising. They are in denial.

People who take ozempic slow their gastric digestion and they end up with 2-3+ days of old food sitting in their stomach and they can get really sick from that.

This medication should be reserved for people with diabetes, insulin resistance and for those who actually have a severe weight issues! Not for the Kim Kardashian of the world who want to maintain being skinny or lose 15 pounds to fit in a dress in 2 weeks.

From what this is saying, would a high protein diet be the best diet for weight loss and diabetes management.

I am here because I am seeing and Endocrinologist for high cortisol levels that has made me gained weight. I don't have diabetes or any health issues. And he prescribed me Wengovy but they don't have that in my local pharmacies then my doctor prescribed Ozempic. I am scared because don't have diabetes why am I using this when I don't have diabetes. I see now that it's to lose weight. But I've been going to the gym way before to lose weight it's been tuff because of high cortisol levels I gained 10 pounds in 4 months.

It should be left for people who need it for there diabetes, not for lazy people to lose weight without putting in the hard wor.

So its basically what steroids are for bodybilding. Seriously, this should be used only for diabetes and not for casual weightloss at all. Low muscle mass and obesity are mostly self imposed and should not be treated with hormones, but with a change in life style. Putting everyone on the juice destroys the value of a healthy body with healthy habits.

Here’s what I don’t understand. Why not just eat the amount you would eat on ozempic but without the ozempic? No side effects. Just cause you are hungry doesn’t mean you have to respond by eating. Right?

Omg this is so sad and aggravating. People using diabetes meds to lose weight? You know, there’s another way to get weight to ‘fall off’ without taking any drugs? STOP EATING CARBOHYDRATES! I lost over 40 lbs in 3 months doing nothing but that. I ate whatever I wanted whenever I was hungry, as long as it didn’t contain carbs. Never exercised, didn’t make any other changes to my life, and consistently lost 2-4 lbs every week. That’s all you have to do, folks!

Everyone wants to be fit, but few want to put in the hard work to change their lifestyles. Reach for the easy button, you’ll get an easy solution but at a steep price that wont be apparent for quite some time. Wishing everyone the best on their health journey.

Insurance doesn’t cover this for most people who need it. Obese people want to exercise but how realistic is that when heart conditions caused by obesity make you to feel like you’re dying and out of breath just by walking somewhere. It’s not cool how unavailable this medication is which could save lives and create a more healthy populace in a nation badly in need of exactly that. I am also wary of insurance companies and their need to keep us unhealthy in order to make their profits. Of course why would they cover Ozempic. There’s no money in fixing the problems. The money is in the disease, not the medication to cure it.
