This is interesting because I was the only one to pass my 8th grade SOL in my class for civics in middle school maybe 4 or 5 years ago.
ОтветитьMakes sense to je.
ОтветитьSeems like a sound idea; the issue is then getting that ball rolling. I was Home-Schooled for the majority of my K-12 years (pre-K through 2nd Publicly), and was given the opportunity to learn by myself, with the guidance of my Parents, good basics; with it, also came steps into History, Government, and other morals. My father added some older (and honestly top-notch) History books, and used to read to my siblings and I a good handful of classic stories to History books before bed. Along with this, the chance to be self-taught allowed me to naturally learn various topics from science, politics. (*NOTE: I also went all the way through the Scouting program BSA*)
So what surprised me was the either the lack or negligence of the topics listed in this video (civics, government, American history) by those in High School and even at College or University levels.
I know having a solid foundation while still being open to growth is important in any situation, and I truly believe this is that should be implemented.
[P.S. Anyone remember those "Living Scriptures" movies and books by Nest from years ago?]
Look. I don't care what you mean by this so I am just going to assume you are one of the stupid republican ads I been getting. you can't just erase gay people. that's just not possible
ОтветитьNo thanks

ОтветитьWhat the hell is this?
ОтветитьFix the school system before trying to change it, So many people don’t know how the school system works poorly and barely functions at all
ОтветитьWell I’m in the 8th grade civics and government and us history are my best classes and it saddens me that so many people my age don’t know how our country works and what we’ve learned from in the past
