Fuel in an outbuilding has the explosive capacity of 5 sticks of dynamite for every gallon of gasoline. The officer’s concern for your safety was warranted.

Saved more property by going in and pulling ceilings and using less water way to fail all you doing is filling the house with water most of the fire will be under something or maybe use the ladder for direct attack like proper placement and it would have been knocked down quickly with less water

These firefighters are a disgrace to their profession. It took more than five minutes to get water on ons hose and another two minutes for a second one. In the Netherlands, a hose gets water 30 seconds after arrival. Time is essential certainly for a timber house.

Training matters. Especially for your engineeers. More than enough lever pullers have come and gone. There’s no place for them. The lack of water for that long is ridiculous. And Jesus. Settin up that stick instead of getting in the front door??? What the actual F? And don’t give me the armchair qb shit. Fire after fire after fire I see at the shore in YT is a shit show.

Why does the fire get bigger with water? I'm so confused! Is it because the burst of oxygen from the roof breaking under the pressure of the water?

Glad that there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, and wow I couldn't believe how quickly that fire went up the side of the house and into the attic and across the roof.
Once they opened up that ladder pipe they started gaining on it.
Thank you to all firefighters for participating the citizens of your coverage area.

It's better to be an operator driver on a fire truck than on a tank and any other killing machine. But in this case, many will not have jobs under capitalism. After all, capitalism lives by exploitation and robbery.

Sorry.....but are these volunteer or paid depts? My guess is volunteer or paid on call based on what I saw in this video. This might be a rural area which I get the constraints, but way too many trucks and not enough engines on this and then the slow response from the personnel on scene. Walking and standing around. Nothing like 3 trucks clogging up the alpha side. One truck ok if it is applicable, but you need engines in front to pump. At least make room for one. Looks like most of the trucks might have some attack lines on their rigs. If so, great.....get water supply and get the lines in service asap. Heavy hand lines are needed here at least at the onset. Move with a purpose and show urgency. Some not all are strolling around like it is controlled burn or drill. Someone's house is on fire along and their belonging are getting destroyed along with exposures to manage here. Get water on the fire and protect the exposures for christ's sake. Maybe water supply issues, not sure here. Looks like the truck found water pretty quickly to get his stick in operation so water supply must have been relatively close so not sure why it took so long to get hose lines in operation. Protect exposures, get water on the main body of fire, get multiple lines in service, when you can perhaps shut the stick down and get a couple crews interior to knock the fire down....get a multi-prong coordinated attack going people. Oh and the guy busting out the window from below. LOL. Wow. Did he never get trained on how to break a window out properly? SMH. Move him to filling air bottles or rolling hose.

You have to feel for the homeowners. Work hard for what you have and then destroyed. At least there were no injuries. This is why you have insurance. Material loss is just that it can be replaced. Looks like it might have started in the shed next to the house, then extended to the home.

Police officers at fire scenes are more of hindrance than anything else. They do nothing but stand around and get in the way and as it seems odd that they get their first, their cars are usually always the ones that have to be moved because they are in the way!

Hey Mr. police officer. NOWHERE in your or any other department says you're to protect ones personal safety. Your job is to uphold the law and it's this guys right to record from a safe place. He is breathing the same dangerous air you are. Why don't you go move your cars which are always in the way when we pull up and we have to constantly take time out from doing our job to ask you to move them.

Flowing a master stream
into a frame building with people inside is very poor control of the fire ground. I did like the kid breaking out the second floor windows to ventilate when there is no roof.

They like to tear shit up, don't they! The guy on the ladder smashing in the window, not necessary! An unnecessary risk to the firefighter. The house was lost at that point so I guess it didn't matter property wise, but there was nothing gained by putting the firefighter at risk on the ladder.

Just a note...the man recording is NOT impeding any work of first responders. The cops have NO right to tell him stop recording or to move away. The police need to learn that bystanders can record all day long as long as they are not in danger or impeding. Our news reporters get hassled all the time by cops who think they can remove the press.

When will we learn that no matter how many GPM you throw at a building through an aerial master stream it won't put the fire out through an intact roof. Roofs are designed to keep water out, spraying the shingles in hoping to accomplish any good is a waste of water. The fire that was showing on the second floor/attic could have been put out a lot faster if the nozzle was moved around more. I've said it time and time again, the only way to put an attic fire completely out is to get people inside and pull ceiling. The initial hoseline put in some good work with their knockdown and protecting the exposure but I would have spent less time directing my stream at the shed once the bulk of the fire was knocked down and the exposure was no longer in danger and focused more on putting the house on fire out. They had the best line positions to do good for this incident.
