Free energy does not equate to practical amounts of usable energy. The second you put a load on that motor, it'll stop.

@Robert Triple Barrel Name : You know that the movement of water is FREE ENERGY and always has been FREE ENERGY. There is loads of Turbines underground and you know it!
Bell Siphons and pumping stations of the past, Aquifers, what all the seaside places in the UK used to be etc..
IF you never speak of this stuff then that means you are THE ENEMY and are complying with them just so you can make a few quid for yourself.
I welcome a 'LIVE' debate with you on this subject anytime you wish to attempt to prove me wrong.
Thank you.

This doesn't prove anything!
If you want to prove that the device pulls energy out of its surroundings then instead of plugging in high voltage to make the thing spin you would have it spin on its own from pulling energy out of its surroundings 🤔

nice, electrostatics is an awesome study. you may see antigravitic effects with the negative brush discharge of tesla coil, but coils frequency ratio should be 3.2/8 not 1/4 as is mostly used.
correction please, the ground is positive with respect to immediate atmosphere, you may confirm with simple voltmeter on millivolt scale.
also, we don't live on a ball.

Electrostatic is based on very very low amperage, thus it has no usable torque, force, and working force. You have to build up over a very unreasonable time into a capacitor, and in a few seconds, the power is gone. It's like trying to power hydrogenerators with captured mist versus flowing water.

I don't have any background in electricity, so my question is as follows. It's very interesting, but what would you be able to power with it? I suppose if it was rugged enough, maybe this would power a generator to power your house, or workshop?

The answer to everyone’s questions, theories, etc lies within one thing. It’s something that the governments all thru the world have kept hidden from all of the people all across the world.. There is another entire level of physics that exist, this my friends, is the answer to it all and also the reason it has been kept a secret. Good luck finding any info on the subject tho, it is Trans-dimensional physics..

Rob , pal you've cracked ,

Free energy , cmon pal ,

Free is but an illusion yet divine is always Why

Your smart enough , or should we break it down

Yin yang
Law of conservation

States energy cannot be created or destroyed..

Look at an opera singer that ,shatters a glass. Yet only changes the glass form !!

Dependent on terminology used , nothing is free..

Playground s, have swings ,round abouts and see saws

It doesn't matter ,what the cost is , as money is a mere illusion of measurement.

So whether it's food you eat, the materials made else where,
Or the energy to scavenge,

Even the sun is not infinite or free, its a nuclear power house , that pays ,with its self .

Does Rain actually Bow ??

Just a thinker

As bridges have arches as does mc ds but golden ones .

So how far up would it have to go in order to charge a lightweight battery.

Free energy isnt free it takes energy to harness and extract energy, which is why you need either some type of energy storage (a closed loop system)like with a dam or battery or magnets or some kind of current flow,(which could be open or closed loop) a river, electrical conductor, induction coils, wind for sails and so on. Now you may be able to convert or transfer energy in a farly efficient way, a heat pump for example but this again is not free energy, though it could be cheap and abundant energy, which would be a very good thing indeed. The problem with electrostatic charges in the atmosphere is that they can of course build up to become like a charged capacitor and when the dialectic resistance of the air breaks down we have a lightning strike. But no practical means have been discovered to make lightning harvesting possible(lightning rods try to neutralize, absorb, dissipate the power rather than use it). Most of the time these kinds of environmental energy are too weak and dispersed existing in the effective zero point or ground state. The reason that clouds can build up such high voltages and current flows is because of the enormous amounts of air motion mechanical energy which is ionizing the molecules. Now there may be other analogs to that process that will do most of the work required to concentrate a weak low density source of energy for a useful higher density one, but again it will not be free, it is just that nature will have done most of the heavy lifting for us. The solar wind for instance is a very high voltage but low current but produces the Aurora Borealis occasionally there can be solar eruptions and storms that can cause interference or induce large currents in power Iines. Photosynthesis is of course the most semingly miraculous process by which electromagnetic radiant energy can be captured and through a complex chemical process stored in carbohydrates or sugars to be used for cellular metabolic functions. Yeasts however use fermentation for fueling its metabolism which itself is a rather interesting fact of biology. Which points to a very different kind of atmosphere at one time probably dominated by CO2 instead of Oxygen and Nitrogen. The optical properties of this atmosphere may have been very different as well being diffusely translucent and becoming increasingly clearly transparent. Kind of like the change described in the book of Genesis Light shines from day one but that light is not revealed as clear point sources until day four.

There’s always been ways to harness power. The problem is storing it and/or regulating it’s flow and it’s capacity whilst being consumed under amperage control and it’s very complex after that but yes one lightning tower could be a good source or generator but once you draw on them heat disbursement is a major issue.

It would be interesting to see if you can reverse this design from a motor into a generator. You might feed a high-voltage bias to the drum, and rotate the shaft with a turbine, and collect output from the combs. You might need to change the drum to contain alternating polarity curved sections, and feed bias voltage via opposite shaft ends.

I have seen thermal acoustic generators that ultimately drive a linear magnet motor, but I would like to see one drive a linear electrostatic generator instead.

Essentially the principle would be similar to that of electrostatic loudspeakers that use a hv bias on the membrane, but probably stacked in an array to increase surface area and power, and of course driven acoustically by a thermal oscillation in a resident cavity having hot and cold sides. In my head, I could picture something in the kilohertz range that would be fairly compact, and it would be interesting to see if the efficiency claims associated with electrostatic motors bear fruit in this case.

Excellent home shop electrostatic motor build! Induction avoids arcing, brilliant solution to a pressing problem with these kind of motors.

You mentioned two related references to other people who worked on these electrostatic motors, near the end of the video, can you spell them out or link to their work? it’s a bit hard to make out their names, and then the issue of spelling makes it a challenge to extract.

I love your channel and what it represents in the bigger picture, this is a wonderful way for others to see real tinkering in action, this tinkering spirit is becoming lost in the noise, yet represents an irreplaceable feature of successful civilization, and what makes us human.

With the National Risk Register 2023 just come on line please have a look at section 4 cyber attack on the Grid
People need to prepare
They need to think
What if the Grid goes down
Have you got another way to heat your home
Tinned food
Blankets
Torches
Enough for at least two months .
The Gov is warning today that in the case of an attack the Grid could be Down For several months and with absolutely No Warning . Within two days the mobiles will stop working and then the internet will not work the petrol pumps stop working
We need to make senible preparation now .
But to do this the public need to talk about the Gov Warnings .

Remember this if we all prepare for a Grid Down a lot of people will survive.

Many thousands will freeze to death in their own homes as they have no way to keep warm ...when you become early 50s to 60s you feel the cold badly then we loose the food chain within just 3 days .

It's hard to comprehend but this is reality...

People will become very hungry and start looking for food , emergency services will loose their communication with each other within just a couple of days how would you call for help ?
Even people with sola panels will not survive because most so not have batteries to bank the power first before giving it to Grid
Ask yourself one thing why is the media not talking about this very serious matter .

The first person to realise this was Nikola Tesla. He was undone by the powerful fossil fuel owners who didn't want him to give free energy to everyone.
The rest as they say is history. Because of these powerful fossil fuel companies who make vasts amount of money we are reliant on oil and gas to this day.

Considering the power of a lightening bolt, I often wonder why there has been no real research into electrostatic equipment, lighting, etc.
I have a lot of whys, what ifs, and questions. I think Tesla was trying to tap into this unlimited resource.
Of course it comes down to torque, horsepower, and useful devices.
How do you attract the higher energy levels from the upper atmosphere without creating a dangerous lightning bolt or stringing a wire up there that could be run into like the tensor wire suspended just above the ground?
I'm inclined to think that there is a connection between your electrostatic demonstration and thermomagnetics. They say heat destroys magnets. Yet. The earth is essentially a hot magnet
Have you tried to put a load on your device?

Can this be used to make electricity, in reverse, of having it wind powered, to take electrostatic power... because if there is free energy every where like stated then you should be showing how to get it, not to run a thing like it's a motor.
