Peugeot 206 was the first new car I bought around 2002. Later I picked up a 2001 model for free (my auntie stopped driving and just. gave me it) as what I would call just a run around car - a beater car maybe if that's the expression you use. Engine never missed a beat, but the electrics were a little dodgy and the road noise was bad. Just my opinion but spending $1700 to get a beautifully clean 25 year old budget hatchback that has no resell value is just madness.

I'm sorry but how did this car end up in the US?? It's not even S16 or RC version, a very odd car to go through the hassle of importing it.

$1000 USD to have the vehicle cosmetically operational, and deep flushed.

Personally I'd do it solo for $650AUD. Granted I can do it over the course of 8-10 hours, and not potentially 4 hours with a 3 man crew

I have a Peugeot 207 1.4 8v. Engine is solid, car has cost me next to nothing since owning it. Engine has done over 160,000 miles. Nothing wrong with it.

I had a Peugeot 206 for 22 years and it was superb! Finally suffered sudden & total electrical failure at 105,000 miles, sorely missed! I also own a 308 that is 15 years old, looks like a new car & done 99,000 miles without complaint!

Yah right so if I buy a shit car for 700$ that takes like 20hours or more to clean, how is that recovering my costs? It will costs 2x the value of the car to get it cleaned. I now need to seek that same car for at least 2100$ to not loose money

Ok it's clean now. But after standing for 10 years - what about the engine? Also gearbox, brakes, aircondition, ect. It may be financial disaster - but most important it's now shiny as new :)
