Nobody Knows What A Level 7 Commander Deck Is

The comamnder power level spectrum is dumb and only leads to more arguments, I wish it had never been come up with tbh.

right, level 10 is turn 1/2 wins and maybe 3/4 in comp
level 9 is consistent turn 3/4 maybe 5
level 8 is barely competitive
level 7 is max that isnt in CEDH

Lol our friend group has no idea for pwr lvl. We just play then see if one deck is just too dumb to play with others then switch if needed.

If your deck doesn't have at game winning instant win combo or crippling stax, by definition it's not a 7.

Ok... I have a serious question. Is it a 7, which means 8 and above are cEDH. Or do you guys say from 1 to 10, 10 being very high power EDH (not cEDH)
Like... Is my gruul elfball that wins on turn 6-8, w/ a budget of 60€ a 7.5 (cause 8 is cEDH) or is it a 9 (cause no infinite combos, so not 10)

You know it's not one card that makes a 7, it's the list itself that makes a 7.

Level 7 decks are decks with power but not an amazing level of efficiency, 8 being a step higher and having a little bit of inefficiency, 9 being basically almost top tier with just like 5 cards filling the deck that arent efficient while level 10 is top tier, one of the best in the format.

What is this 7 you speak of? Is it a symbol of established value of some kind? Is it like 8?

I have Vadrik EDH but it can become CEDH (just change the finisher and Counter) or it can become budget deck (below $150) or it can become any level...

But normally i just use my cedh form just remove Broken CEDH Blue card then it can become play in lower rank cause its no more than 150 USD... And i just combo in turn 4 or 5

And literally it can still be said Level 5-8

Yea that's the thing what someone says a 7 is to what someone else says is a 7 is totally different the number system sucks it's hard to define a 7 it's easier to say less than precon, precon, upgraded precon, tuned/ optimised and cedh tbh most non cedh decks can play together most decks are precon to tuned/ optimised

I couldnt understand how my $2000 Teysa deck wasn't at least a 9 until I basically threw a $60 pile of artifacts together with Jhoira and consistently donky stomped the table by turn four literally every game that didnt have quick and effective player removal. My Teysa deck has just about every staple that it can run, and it's still only a 7 at best.

This is why numerically quantifying your decks with an arbitrary number that has no benchmark is bad. "Low", "Mid", "High" is my jam.

10- Turn 0-2 CEDH deck. 9-Turn 2-4 CEDH deck 8-Turn 5-7 With hated cards. 7- Top level of casual, lots of powerful cards maybe one two card combo without tutors.6- combos require 4-5 cards. 5- Upgraded precon 4-Precons 3&below Draft chaft
