It's been one of my all time favorite songs ever since someone gave me the LP in the 60s. And Fleetwood Mac then became one of my all time favorite groups, to this day...before, during, and after Nicks and Buckingham, including everyone's solo and regrouping performances.

Will we ever hear this kind of talent ever again in the music industry? Big ask. Glad I'm 58 and not 18✌️☮️🌠🌌👍😁🌍

Real music with no concern for financial return. Sadly they transformed into a pop band. Yes, it was more viable financially but what a drop in musical standards.

A genius. I saw him at the Long Beach Blues Festival late last century. He was eating dinner alone at the Hyatt. I approached his table and told him he was the most amazing guitarist I had ever heard. He didn’t say anything, just stared at me.

I used to see Peter in Oxted surrey many years ago .
He was clearly coming back into the world and The Splinter Group was formed during that time.
What a legacy first heard this in 1967 maybe.

First heard this as a lad aged 14. Still my all time favourite piece of music. Totally agree with with previous comments. I t takes you places and calms the soul. It will take me to my final testing place as I am laid to rest. The last thing I want to hear in this life anyway. Peace to all.

I was so lucky to see them play this ethereal masterpiece. It opened a door to a new place in music. Then they would follow with Rattlesnake Shake! What a great band! RIP.

At 73 this was the best and first single that I ever purchased, thanks Peter for the fantastic memory and this beautiful music.

First saw Mac. In fishmongers. Arms. Wood green wat. 68. 69. And and. Been fan. Ever since. Yep

I close my eyes and listen to this timeless masterpiece much as I have since the early 70s. How blessed I've been to live through those musical times.

Existing on a sweet buzz, and the electricity of a soul-melting Love...Slowly swaying across a dimly lit bar room floor. The weight of your love's hands gliding down your back. The reflection of neon in their gaze. The world around you dissipates into a blur. Only the two of you exist in this moment. That's where I am right now.

Oh... So beautiful. I heard it a lot during childhood, and I found it very soothing. And now the piece has new meaning to me. A couple of days ago, I was sitting next to someone who's very special to me. We are in the process of getting to know one another, having a good time, laugh and cry together, having wonderful conversations, flirting, warning each other about our own flaws... And then the band started to play Albatross. Just as I thought, oh I would like to hold him, he lay his head on my shoulder, then we held each other tight in a most tender way, just... BEING. The world stood still for a couple of minutes as if our artist souls were being carried by the wind that carried the Albatross...😍

Music genius known as Peter Green! I first heard this beautiful instrumental when I was 13 years old in 1969, still listen to it now in 2023. His music will live on forever. ♥ RIP

Peter gave us a beautiful gift when he wrote and played Albatross. The music lives in my head and in my heart.
