There is a song by Grand Solleil called "Ill Be Back"...I have to assume it was inspired by this song, similar vibe with an electronic twist. When I heard it I had to come find what it was reminding me of.

This song floats your mind unto whatever happiness you'd like to imagine. You've got to be a free spirited soul to understand it. Once you've reach that level, it's paradise and majestic. Great Song to listen too.

Phi phi island?

Being 37, I remember hearing Moby in the early 90’s and he was “very” off the beat and path for what the sound was at the time. Then, the song from this album came along, I want to say mid to late 90’s if I’m remembering correctly? Some of the album was featured through singles on alternative rock stations, but really didn’t quite belong. It certainly wasn’t Top 40, but by this time more and more people recognized him.

From the mid 90’s on he became better known and got closer and closer to mainstream until he and Gwen did South Side which (in my personal opinion) cast him into the mainstream. The earlier is by far my favorite though. I find that it’s the artists climb to the mainstream that we tend to most appreciate.

Now that I actually think back the early 2000s it was a strange time it was like the 90’s pt.2 but a bit more laid back like Jean jackets, cargo shorts CD players DVDs it’s hard to explain those years you just had to be there it’s more than fashion/ trends pop culture it’s a feeling ever since 9/11 that’s when the world got a little darker
