What we really need is an experienced player in his 30s, who doesn't care about his career anymore and who wants to use United to secure his pension. Ideally it will be a player for a position that doesn't need filling so we can rest him for most of the season, and the few games he does play he will force one of our decent players out of position and completely upset the team balance. We have to be careful to drag the negotiations out until the last day though, so that we can pay the maximum price for him in order to avoid the transfer window being a complete shambles with zero signings.
