I'd like to add elec. Engines with a ton of batteries & solar panels, keep medical room, machine shop, helo pad for emergency even if i don't have a helo, proper gym, steam & sauna rm, a classic interior (beautiful Wood) no carpet/ no corners on furniture/ counteracts, elec. & analog gauges, back ups on back ups.

shame you can't do a 3d rendering of the finish refit you talk about and as stated before whats the final cost as you described the refit. Thanks for your video's

It’s going to be pretty good when it’s completed.

I'll buy this.

My first priority is to have an unsinkable, all-weather, go-anywhere vessel. I would have ideally wanted a vessel with the superstructure in the center, but that would make the size the of the vessel to accommodate all the tenders so large that I wouldn't be able to afford to operate it, so this is a good compromise design.

The aft deck has all the space I need for a hangar for an H-145 helicopter(44'x9'x13'), a small submarine, a small pool, a sundeck and a large saloon on top.

Multiple engines, multiple screws and multiple rudders all build redundancy for the most adverse of situations. A diesel electric propulsion is a plus, but not essential.

I would also want it to be able to refuel a G-111 amphibious aircraft (the HU-16 with titanium wing-spars to operate in 6ft waves and 10-ft swells. I, initially, wanted it to hangar the aircraft, but the dimensions of the aircraft would make the size of the yacht uneconomical for me to operate, so simply refueling and servicing is adequate.

I want a large saloon with excellent views, a decent office-cum-libary-cum-gym also with exquisite views for myself, a luxurious owner's suite and 4-to-5 comfortable but not luxurious guest suites. I'd like a shallow, narrow and long pool on the sundeck, a comfortable sky lounge, and a small fly-bridge with a Jacuzzi.

I do like the carpet-less interior of the San Lorenzo 500 Exp. I like interiors by Pinto and an English woman whose name I can't recall.

I would prefer interiors like those of the 500Exp or Andromeda/Ulysses.

What would you say is the minimum length for an expedition yacht if the owner wants a helo deck/ hangar, in other words a permanent solution?

What will the estimated total cost be once it's completed? Damen always says that buying a support yacht is considerably cheaper than buying a regular yacht of the same length, but they never give any figures to back that up. If that boat is bought for 10 million, how much goes into the refit? And when the old equipment is sold off, is that money given to the new owner to offset the price of the work, or is that the shipyards additional profit since a lot winds up as scrap I imagine.
