edit again you gave me an idea thank you very much sir and thanks for the help!
Ohhhhh man shuttttt up and stop buying without going and checking the car.
ОтветитьDoesnt sound like a scam, sounds like the buyer needs to 1) know and understand the nomenclatures on the site 2) GO INSPECT THE VEHICLE BEFORE BIDDING
ОтветитьTo be fair, to varying degrees, honest business is no longer the norm. Sure it exists, but by and large, everyone is getting one over on someone or trying to anyway. Heck, even when you order your burgers and fried from Wendys and get hours old garbage and looks like slop. Happens more often than not. It is a game in a way, but you gotta be smart and shrewd. If so, there are plenty of deals to be had.
ОтветитьStop complaining about Copart and ghost bids, mechanical damage etc... we all know what Copart is. One can filter on "pure sale", I rarely bother with cars that are not pure sale on the day of the auction. Also go and inspect the car. I have 3 lots in my city, but I do not even bother with two of them. I have one Copart lot about a 10 minute drive away. They are always polite and let me inspect. Then I set my max bid in and let the auction pass ... if I get it for my price, fine and otherwise good luck to the guy that offered more. This way I have not had a bad experience at Copart. Yes, with these reserve limits at Copart it is annoying, so I rarely play that game. If I put in a bid on a car with a reserve limit and I win and the seller gets back to me about wanting more money, I never even reply. Either give it to me at the price I offered or feel free to try and sell it the next week again. Amazing how many hit my bid right before the deadline expires. But over the years I have done less and less of bidding on cars that have a reserve limit set. It is just not worth my time to inspect them. With pure sale I know that if I am the highest bid I get the car. And sure if they have some ghost bidder that bids above my number, then sure, I will just put the same max bid in the next week.
One is not required to be a brain surgeon to do well at Copart, but one does have to use the brain God gave you. And yes, in the past I have often inspected cars at Copart and declined to bid, just to be blown away as to how much some dude four states away bid on a bad car. And then they complain, complain, complain ... who buys cars without inspecting them? Especially at Copart. But I will say, it is often that I end up being the only person walking around Copart, inspecting cars for hours. I tend to go Monday morning and for the two or three hours I am at Copart I do not often see many others inspect cars. It seems to me most buyers just bid off the photos, which is crazy to me and a recipe for disaster.
One last point, why even bid out of state. I just bid in that one Copart lot by my home and they drop off the car for $65. Shipping cars long distance gets expensive. Just keep it simple.
Also, who keeps complaining about the Copart fees. One can find them on the Copart website. Just decide what you want to pay max for the car and deduct the fees and oops you got your number.
to many fees to buy a car at copart
ОтветитьWhere do you recommend buy a vehicle
ОтветитьCould someone please explain me what exactly is “enhanced vehicles” and “engine start program”?
ОтветитьThis guy is spitting 💯% FACTS! ... If you deal with Copart then you're gonna get scammed. No ifs ands or buts about it.
ОтветитьI buy from either Napa or Rock Auto if time isn't a factor.
Ответитьnasty company, out to rip people off at every opportunity it seems
ОтветитьSame in uk , copart are utter dogs, we bought a Ford transit rear ended, stated it stated and ran turns up we had to put an engine in the thing
Ответитьwhat if you just want parts?? like it's cheaper forme to buy a $25 car just for the parts for my car
ОтветитьI can Inspect vehicles in Houston TX locations for a fee, been dealing with used cars for 10 years
ОтветитьIaa is about the same
ОтветитьYeah funny I came across this video😂 I feel exonerated
ОтветитьI've bought 4 cars over the years from Copart in Des Moines Iowa. Have had great luck. Key is to look at vehicle before bidding and don't get into bidding war. To be fair If I had to drive 4 hours round trip I wouldn't go look or bid.
Ответитьthis ages well. :)
ОтветитьCofart😂
ОтветитьThat true
ОтветитьThey steal people's vehicles by an insurance and sell it for more I have a bike that just cosmetic damage and they try too take my bike with help scam with insurance
ОтветитьWho would want that wrecked, totaled,Biohazard, crime scene, junk that they sell anyway?.... I mean it's nothing more than a glorified junkyard where they make huge 💰 Money.... Stop buying that junk people it's really that simple 🤷
Ответить10 years ago, CoPart was perfect.
I bought many vehicles, & introduced my friends & family to buy vehicles.
Now, I’ll never even attempt the hassle of placing a bid.
Anyone buy snowmobiles from cpart
ОтветитьIf I find a car for $500.00 and it’s a clean title that runs and drives and there’s only minor dents and scratches as the only damage on it, is it worth buying then?
ОтветитьIts an auction site for wrecked and crapped on cars ... What do you expect ... Know what you are bidding on before you bid.
ОтветитьMy complaint is with the additional fees they charge. I was high bidder on a 2007 Electra Glide at $2000.00. After all the bogus fees I'm on the hook for $3000.00 Tomorrow I get to go down there and pay 50% more than I intended on a bike with a salvage title that is "pending". Pretty sure I'm going to regret this whole thing. Just hope I can keep my cool when they spring some other surprise on me.
ОтветитьHad a car delivered and it turned up with extra damage. It had been lifted with a forklift and the back was smashed which wasnt damage in the pictures. Now been a month trying to get it resolved and ask them to take the car back. Also, the fact that you cannot even go to check out the cars in person in the uk... Is a massive risk.
ОтветитьGood to know. Thanks for the information!
Ответитьdo your homework... ive got some Excellent deal on Copart.. bought a 2011 Mazda CR 7 , $1600 bucks and nothing wrong at all except some hail damage..
Ответить10 years ago it was ok, now you can't view cars in person, using covid-19 as an excuse to hide damage, cars are doctored up.
Ответитьdont buy private entries just pure from insurances
Ответитьis there a good auto auction out there?
ОтветитьWhere you guys recommend to buy a car in an online auction? But, not this neither IAA
ОтветитьSounds like you just don’t know what your doing
ОтветитьI understand Copart is a company that wants to make profit and will do things to keep profits high but I disagree with 90% of what you are saying. I agree insurance companies are bad. Insurance companies have ruined America. It's our fault for letting people scam us, be smart study facts and look for truth. Copart isn't what you are putting them out to be. Iowa Copart has been great with me so far. I've even boughten a car from them based off web descriptions without checking it out in person, it was a quick fix. Yes it's smarter to look in person but I did fine without. Auctions try to get the max bid, that's auctions. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY THE CAR! Don't bid on rip-offs. I'm sure there are plenty of people that would criticize you and me as well. I'd be careful what you say, unless you have evidence backing your claim you can be sued for defamation. Especially if you are a conservative, even if it is true if your conservative you can get sued. Our justice system is terrible.
ОтветитьCopart a scam they should get sued
Ответитьtalk so much without saying anything
ОтветитьBought a 08 toyota with 200k miles for 2.2k after fees I was at 2.9k. Sadly, the car has a blown engine and will cost 6k to fix. First and last time, never again. Marketplace will be my go to place
ОтветитьDo your research first and you’ll be fine. I’ve purchased a few clean title insurance vehicles for half the market cost with minor repairs needed. NY has the worst cars in my opinion. Run!!
ОтветитьSounds like you don't know how to inspect a car before you buy 🤣 this is like gambling and getting mad you lost. They don't hide it. They take the same pictures for every lot, see if it goes in gear and that's it. They do 0 inspection of the car, that's the job of the buyer. 🤡
ОтветитьThese guys are talking trash to avoid every one jumping on good deals to keep the prices low.! The lower amount of bidders the lower the prices! Of course you need to be wise going into it!
ОтветитьGO and buy new cars damaged cars always have problems
ОтветитьAt the end of the day, if you pay too much for a car at Copart - it's your fault. It's salvage - you get what you pay for, if its too expensive - don't buy it. Simple.
ОтветитьThe best place I believe to get any kind of deal would be at a city or Goverment auction. I once did towing for parking violations in a big city. Cars that were in very good condition but the owners owed so much money in past tickets that it would not be worth it to pay thousands to get the vehicles back. The cars are kept for about 30 days and if no one claimed it the city marshall would sell it to the highest bidder. The marshall does not care how much the car goes for it's not his and he needs room for the next wave of towed cars. Only drawbacks are there are no keys to start the cars[ there are locksmiths on location at every auction]. You will also need a tow truck to remove it from the property. Other so called auctions are SELLING CARS and they sprinkle their employees in the crowd to up the prices to obtain the real price they want after all they did not get these vehicles for free. If they cant get what they want you can still be the highest bidder but they wont sell you the car.
ОтветитьMy dad has ran a body shop since the 90’s, and we have bought and sold rebuildable vehicles from all across the country. We’ve never seen the market in this kind of state. In the past it was normal to buy and fix a car anywhere from 40%-60% of current market value of the same car with a clean title. Now these cars are auctioning at 60%-70% of value, and after you fix it plus the ridiculous Copart fee of ~7.5% of pp, you’re in it for 80%-90% of the value assuming there are no unexpected issues when the car arrives. The risk assumed for all that plus the carrying cost of holding the car while trying to sell makes it unreasonable to use this site anymore. This doesn’t even factor in the scams that are happening. Our belief is that the shortages of new and used cars has affected the salvage market as well, causing prices to go up. This market is in an unsustainable state.
Ответить99% of auctions are scams. people bidding that never plan on buying and people that work for the Companys running up the price.
ОтветитьIn Person Inspection !
Bid Only After That,
Then ADD FEES
Add Transport
Add Parts !
Add Repairs...
Subtract Salvage Title or Total Loss
" Clean Title " Value Losses
You Should Think Twice
The titles rarely match the actual. They advertise it as a certain year when u get it the title is listed as a different year. If it's advertised as a higher package hardly ever is it that package it.will be a cheaper model
ОтветитьI love it
Ответить
