Well when you explain it like that…
Ответить😂😂 i LOVE this. Subscription activated
ОтветитьRaised catholic. We were given these details (not nearly as concise or undersrandable as this video) . But we didn't understand it. We were there for the free food and pickup games if baskerball.
ОтветитьThese historical accounts attribute to the legitimacy of these being actual events.
What most people don't realize is that Abraham, David, Noah, etc sinned even though they followed God.
The fact that their sins are left in the text shows that the stories are not made up. This is what actual people say and do.
These stories point to the necessity of a Savior for all. Abraham, Noah, David, and everyone needs saving.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
I'm glad this video mentioned the story of Abraham trying to negotiate with God.
It shows the patience and grace of God.
Have you ever had someone ask the same question over, and over, and over again? That's pretty frustrating. But God doesn't get frustrated or angry.
Instead, God shows His grace that He will save the towns if there are righteous people living there.
However, what was found was a nightmare environment. If you actually read the story it sounds like a horror movie.
There are people banging on the doors in order to gang rape the men (the angels in the form of men) that entered the town.
Anyway, as a Christian I laughed a few times during the video because I know the stories and I know how foolish Abraham, etc acted.
Remember these are human acts, not God ordained acts.
Plus, these stories are told to show the patience, grace, justice, and the like of God's character.
Like I said before, the main point of the stories is to show how desperately humans need Jesus the Christ to be their Lord and Savior.
Sexism, that’s a good one.
ОтветитьLol we were told most of these when we were at the right age. That being said, we were not told about how much incest was going on 😂
ОтветитьLot had relations with his Daughters 🤔 and had KIDS? WTF
ОтветитьI remember all of this. It really depends on the class and the church, whether they have age groups. My church did, and I remember when I became of age.
ОтветитьI think that much of the old testament was strongly influenced by the ordeals of the Jews . Characters like Lot Abraham were avatars used to help people understand and make peace with their struggles.
ОтветитьBack when I was still going to church I started reading the bible and I got to the part where people were punished for Abrahams lies about his wife and I stopped reading. Like are we not punishing the wrong person here?
ОтветитьI'm sorry for my ignorance, but what did they do in Gomorrah? I think I know what they did in Sodom, but what was the speciality in the other city?
ОтветитьTHIS WAS GREAT! Now do the rest of the Bible. it really does get more fucked up. Don't forget the magic mushroom on Patmos!
ОтветитьThis sounds like Greek, Norse and Iranian mythology. Shocking
ОтветитьMost criticism of Christianity is from the Jewish scriptures (Old Testament).
Christianity would probably be perceived better if it's followers focused a little more in Christ's teachings.
Really well done and absolutely hilarious. Great work.
ОтветитьCan you do Islam and Judaism
ОтветитьIsn’t it amazing how we read a book, teaching bad, horrible stories, bad people doing real things, real history, real characters, a reality, not unlike Barbie movies or disney characters and we just can’t handle it. Reality hurts our feelings and we look for a safe place. History is scary, so is the future
ОтветитьThere is an old jewish joke that the jews tske after abraham the most because he haggled with god and kinda won.
ОтветитьStuff that happens in the Bible; So viewer discretion is advised
ОтветитьThese characters sure are heroic.
ОтветитьWell, told like this, the Bible is actually hilarious 😁
ОтветитьI go to a catholic school (and am catholic myself) so I knew most of these yet I could not stop watching good story-telling!
Ответитьthese stories are meaningless if read only the surface, true esoteric meaning comes from understanding the etymology, and always remember ancient stories are symbolic these people, creature and gods don't exist actually, there is deeper wisdom, hidden in plain sight from crowd. we understand some =through reading the writings of mystics around that time.
ОтветитьActually Abraham WAS the half-brother of Sarah.
ОтветитьTo be fair, she was his sister, only half sister
ОтветитьMan, this book is so f***'d! Whenever I reread it I can't avoid getting surprised. And I don't think I've ever met a christian who has actually read the whole thing.
ОтветитьNo one:
Jews: now this I like, very informative scripture
I remember hearing the story of ambraham and thinking that was insane even at a young age. Sodom and Gomorrah was definitely white washed for us in Sunday school.
Ответить....They didn't leave out any verse out. We read all of it in sunday class. 🤦🏿♂️
ОтветитьThe story of Moses and the wine is actually an allegory for doctrine. The wine represents doctrine, and his shame of not following G*d in the correct way.bllly. Lots wide did not just look back the physical way she looked back at spiritual wickedness
Ответитьit should not be an achievement to NOT do incest! was it literally THAT hard to find anything equating to a not related spouse?
ОтветитьThere's no part that WASN'T messed up. If you have a brain at all.
God is supposedly omniscient (all-knowing, for those who don't know the word). Meaning he knows ever single fact there could ever be, and knows all of the past and future...and knows every possible "problem" and every possible solution to all of them.
He's omnipotent, meaning he can do absolutely anything, even the logically impossible (which is why omnipotence itself can't exist in the first place, but whatever...we'll cut a break). He could make a perfect good universe without even the possibility of evil, that still fully supports absolute free will...even though that too is logically impossible. In fact, he even supposedly makes exactly that kind of a universe, which is Heaven...except that there actually ISN'T any free will there, and all you're even capable of doing there is loving and praising God...and nothing else.
But instead, he made this universe, which defies the very existence of God. One where our biological nature pretty much entirely prohibits any possibility of "free will" anyway. Erases all possible trace that he's real, demanding that we must take his word at face value, or it doesn't count.
When he finally makes humans, he fucks the first woman up...and she bails on Adam. So he clones Adam as a woman (which basically means the "mother" of humanity was a divinely transgendered woman...enjoy that, Christians), and after giving them NO comprehension of good versus evil...commands them not to eat from the tree that will solve that issue. So...they have no concept of obedience, but are supposed to obey?
On top of that, the real kicker is that this tree is supposedly so dangerous, and these two meat-sticks have no idea how to obey or what even the concept is...and he puts it RIGHT WHERE THEY CAN FUCKING GET IT! Basically it's like putting an open bottle of concentrated bleach IN the crib with your fuckin baby, and then leaving them alone in the house all day...from the way the book tells it, anyway.
But...instead, turns out eating from the tree is NOT, in fact dangerous, and actually gives them a comprehension of the fact that they should've obeyed, and why...ironically. But it also gives them everything else...or it would've if they could've had time to learn and become educated.
Essentially, the serpent in the Garden is a stand-in for Prometheus. When Yahweh, Zeus, and all the others decided humans were nothing but dumb animals that exist to praise the divine...Prometheus and other beings like him in other mythos, took action to give humanity the gift of knowledge and thought. At which point all the other divine beings cursed us for it and punished Prometheus and the others.
There's literally NO part of the Bible that is not rancid with evil. None. Even the New Testament is just the same old evil, wrapped in empty platitudes and false benevolence.
You got it right with lot and his neighbors tryna gang rape his guests. Im shocked. It's usually reported as "Gays burn in hell". Nobody said that.
ОтветитьWhen you say it like that, the bible sounds ...insane.
ОтветитьNot myth
ОтветитьCan you please, make a video about harmonium I know she isn't that important, and animation takes a long time but please😅
ОтветитьWhat a blasphemous book. No respect shown to any of god’s men, they’re all perverted and have the moral code of a dog. What the hell is wrong with you people?!
ОтветитьMan it's hilarious people actually believe this. And not only that they claim to base their life and morality on this shit
ОтветитьCould we please get a video on Sumerian mythology please?
ОтветитьTo be honest this makes me not want to follow Christianity and Judaism
ОтветитьSee this is why it’s absurd that there are people today who thump the book, call it ‘good’ and try to make laws based upon it and generally suggest that people are unworthy if they don’t adhere to its… erm… teachings.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhat am I supposed to learn from this? That good keeps breeding his chosen people like they're sims with naughty mods?
ОтветитьCurious that incest is frowned upon today considering it was accepted enough to to survive in the Bible for thousands of years and many transcriptions.
ОтветитьJews , the OG pimps
ОтветитьThis is a suggestion but you should make a video about sisyphus
ОтветитьWhy am i only discovering this channel right now
