I had a 2017 mercedes springer at my previous employer. It was nice driving it but there were a few times where the transmission would act funny and we would take it to Mercedes and they would never find anytbing wrong with it.
ОтветитьGreat video and comparison. I have been on the fence but I will stay away from the Sprinter unless you are in an area that has a dealer that is licenced to work on a sprinter. With a Ford, as long as it fits in the garage they can work on it. I'm heading into the market for an RV conversion so the likeliness of having a sprinter dealer in remote areas would be unlikely which could result in a lot bigger expense in an already pricy repair. I currently own a Transit passenger wagon and it has been super reliable so I am looking more at the Transit or Ram for the RV.
ОтветитьI would pick Transit, AWD beats 4x4 in crap weather/mud where 4x4 is just better for heavier loads. Also there is 3000 ford service centers across the states vs Mercedes 300. This means local shops can fix your transit vs going to a mercedes dealership everytime, and the price of parts is cheaper on the Transit side.
ОтветитьFord's are way better hands down.. they hold up way better and you can find a place to have them service or fix them very easy compared to Mercedes it's very hard to find a place and not all places has a mechanic that works on them not to mention parts for the Ford is way cheaper than Mercedes... And I am surprised that everyone that looks at the Ford don't think where the gas cap is located to me it's great because with doors locked no one is going to steal your gas
ОтветитьI will choose a Mercedes over any car anytime any day 😅
ОтветитьMaintenance, repairs, part pricws,, fuel mileage and fuel price all factors.
Ответитьwill transit deseil go 1mil miles?
ОтветитьWhich one would you choose for yourself?
ОтветитьIt would of been super nice to see inside cargo space capacity and carrying weight capacity since this was a comparison on cargo vans.
ОтветитьIve driven both for my job and if I had to purchase with my own money I woukd go with Ford. Theyre both good, difference in purchase price and maintenance makes me choose Ford.
ОтветитьYou failed to mention something significant. If you buy a diesel sprinter, you will have to deal with the DEF system or have it removed out of warranty. My parents had two Sprinter camper vans & they had enough issues with both of them that they decided to sell them. It was an ongoing hassle to get fixed & very costly. Beware buying the Mercedes.
ОтветитьThe transit is better put together.
ОтветитьTransit is not quite a stylish, but certainly a significantly better value and objectively better in a number of ways.
ОтветитьThe transit is better choice it’s has more Power . Higher Roof . Cheaper Repairs . Not to mention here in North America you can get service almost anywhere with the Ford . The only pro for the sprinter is the nicer interior.
ОтветитьHaven't had it long, but I love my 2022 MB 4x4 6 cyl. Drives and rides so sweet. And it's nice having the Thor Sanctuary build in it. Pretty nice looking ride too.
ОтветитьHave fun trying to go up a steep hill with the Sprinters horsepower.
ОтветитьJesus Christ guy you were totally low-key bashing on Ford like you totally were like not really digging it but even though Ford had a way more amazing features who cares about the floor people are going to destroy the floor or upgrade it anyways, so why would you worry about the floor? You’re literally totally hating on that Ford van which I think it’s way better. It doesn’t look as good, but I think it looks more attractive, pricewise and longevity, wise money, maintenance cost wise stop being such a hater and be more equal, bro where are you? Where is this video from Germany Jesus
ОтветитьDefinitely diesel
ОтветитьHonestly I love my Mercedes sprinter van it’s the best in market diesel in engine give 7500 lb of towing capacity your ford can’t never hall this much. I think I do say get your oil and filter change regular also use DEF addictive cleaner you can buy from auto zone. I bought my van brand 90 k miles not a single issue.
ОтветитьI am very interested in either the Mercedes Sprinter or Ford Transit for the purpose of commercial use, such as construction. My biggest concern for a Van is its reliability, most importantly its engine and transmission. I am looking to buy a brand new van, so it will be definitely a 2023, but I can't find anything about the pros and cons of my concern, yet what problems are faced with both engines and transmission. Can I get more information about both vans? I loved the video, seeing the full walk-around and comparison of the exterior and interior of the vans, but I wish to get more info on their performance.
ОтветитьFor driver Ford is much the comfortable .
Ответитьtransit are monstrous in power output
ОтветитьRather have an American made van than a Wiener Schnitzel made van, maintenance costs are thru the roof on Mercedes. Ya Vole capitan, down periscope.
ОтветитьJesus Crickets.....
Can ANYBODY on you tube do an adequate MECHANICAL REVIEW...
I don't need any aesthetic reviews bulbs....
I can decide on my own what I like or not ...
I want deets about the motor plant, transmission, warranty...cost of ownership... maintenance costs ..common mech issues...
IDGAF about your aesthetic perspectives
best value for your money = Ford transit
ОтветитьSprinter is 100x better
Got a 2014 2.1 turbo 4c
And drives perfectly fine sure maintenance not cheap but you do maintenance in time and you visit the shop less often .. try that for sprinters less mechanic shops Vs ford ..
also diesel takes way more miles can gas .. diesel abit lazy thou at take offs but once ur at abit higher rpm goes goes smooth
Mercedes is more my taste but the transit is an awesome ride as well!
ОтветитьGO FORD TRANSIT PERIOD! Not even close. Do not get stuck with a Sprinter trust me! Ask me how I know. I owned a fleet not just talking.
ОтветитьI can't comment on the Sprinter because I didn't get that far but I will tell you that the Mercedes dealer in Calgary Alberta treated us so badly after we gave them our deposit and waited an extra year for them to deliver a vehicle that was not what we ordered that we are so _issed off that not only are we not buying a sprinter we will likely never let another Mercedes product park in our driveway. This is a bit awkward since my son drives a Mercedes. They were just that bad! I can't believe they can stay in business.
ОтветитьNOTE: Opening up the door to fuel it is actually pretty awesome. It keeps degenerates from being able to either steal your gas or mess with your ride. I wish all cars came with that design personally.
Ответитьdoes the transit come with 4x4 or awd?
ОтветитьWat about the floor ramp between front seats leading to cargo area, I drive a dodge & ford 2018 one and I miss step alot in the ford is not flat and has a step down I twist my ankles a lot
Ответитьin my country merc sprinter is considered luxury car
ОтветитьSuggestion; give more details regarding specs for each cargo van. Differences between gas and diesel. Pro and cons of each brand vehicle, known issues for each etc.
ОтветитьCost of repairs the merc is expensive and most mechanics can not work on them unless the have the correct computer. Ford you can get parts for it in any hick town
ОтветитьThe winner is the Chevy Express with a 6.6 L V8 engine that comes with 401 horsepower from the factory.
ОтветитьA locked fuel door is a must in transport
ОтветитьDiesel vs Gas. Long term wise for work.
ОтветитьLove my 2021 MB Diesel V6!
ОтветитьFord, son.
The Transit is basically on the F150 platform.
Lots of power upgrades and parts out there, boys.
Can’t you get the powerstroke in the ford
ОтветитьI’m ordering a transit. So many more options, parts available/affordable. I love the option for a larger fuel tank. Since I will be towing, I’m very excited to not stop frequently for gas.
ОтветитьI like the Ford Transit. The longest wheelbase on the Ford is 148 " where the Mercedes-Benz is 170" wheelbase if it's like a friend of mine is you have to bring it to Mercedes because nobody else can service it.
ОтветитьTransit hands down.
ОтветитьI would not recommend anybody with the van ever considering an EcoBoost because it's a turbo and it's known to not be Dependable but inside of a van is also a much bigger pain in the ass to work on because you would have to remove the engine from underneath the band in order to access the turbo EcoBoost is only known to go about 200,000 miles before you need to do major things like replaced turbos you need to take that into consideration not just the amount of horsepower you again but whether or not you actually want to have to buy a new fan every 150,000 miles because the EcoBoost is it going to ride this morning as you want to use it this video clearly the Sprinter van is a better buy because it has a diesel diesel engines are known to go at least 1.5 million miles and are designed to do 3 million miles
ОтветитьWhat is a payload comparison?
ОтветитьSame assembly line but the MB HAS BETTER TRANSMISSIONS…FORD ARE NOTORIOUS FOR BAD LEAKY TRANSMISSION..
ОтветитьI couldn't tell by the info provided, was the wheelbase longer on the Sprinter or the overall truck length? Interior cargo volume would have been good info to have for the comparison. Sprinter looks better but Black looks better than white on vans. Most comparisons favor the Ford IMHO. Price, even with AWD, Powertrain, Number of dealerships for repairs, and the expected cost of repairs favor gas powertrains over diesel. Luxury dealerships labor usually more expensive as well. For the price difference I could finish out the interior of the Ford for Overlanding and have the complete pkg for the base price of the Sprinter.
ОтветитьNot having push button start in 2023 is unacceptable. This should be a standard feature on ALL vehicles. I haven’t used a key to open or start my vehicle in over 12 years.
