Every time a description of jahannam is recited within Allah’s book, it is immediately followed and juxtaposed with a description of jannat. I believe this is to make clear 2 things:

1. Allah is not cruel, he does not solely punish. Many people who among the righteous will have a reward that no eye has ever seen and that no ear has ever heard
2. Jahannam and Jannat are 2 “parallels” for lack of a better term. This is emphasized with the usage of the word “زُمَرًا” when describing the people of both places in the last verses. It emphasizes that the kafireen and mu’mineen have been given the same guidance, yet some have a tremendous reward and some spend the rest of eternity in torment.
