Started watching with my 12 year old lad. Turned off owing to the swearing. Disappointed .

Personally I carried on watching it my kids no there not allowed to swear they no the words cunmt etc personally I think it’s shaping there character my kids need to no the real world and need to be taught what not to do I.e drugs etc why is everyone crying

I'm a few years older than Dave and I've followed his angling wherever he's been,obviously the early days it was through the carp mags and then his books, and a more genuine bloke I don't think you will find anywhere. I now subscribe to his weekly Patreon channel( look it up if you haven't heard of it) if you saw the effort he puts in and what he goes through to catch these carp week in and week out I. can assure you even a saint would swear!!! It's the sheer pent up emotion and the relief of it all coming together.It's all proper rough and ready carp angling....real fishing.....non of this roped off prepped swims ready for filming rubbish. Don't ever change Dave we love you as you are a real genuine top bloke who tells it and films it as it is.

Know that place very well as grew up fishing it back in the 80’s onwards (when it was £25 for all 8 lakes!!). None of the Chillingworth originals are left regardless what anyone says & the ones called the ‘Originals’ are offspring from the Chillingworth fish stocking.
How come no-one has mentioned the unique thing about Houdini? Looks like a common but the scales have merged in to the body so it feels like a nude leather! Have never seen another fish like it & been in that fishes acquaintance half a dozen times or so & everytime it would blow me away (although never had it myself & was always photographer for it😢). I don’t remember the Saddleback fish being in Lake 7 when I last had a ticket (10 years or so ago back when the Big Linear was the largest inhabitant of Lake 7) & don’t remember seeing it on the bank (unless it was called something else back then).
Those Ouse Valley fish are amongst the best to have ever swam in the country’s waters. Bill Chillingworth certainly knew the strains back then. Trouble is they got moved around the complex like gypsy camps being evicted during the 80’s & 90’s (got worse when it got split into multiple tier syndicate tickets & the top tier had a closed season & fish from the other lakes still open got moved constantly into Lake 7 from Lakes 2 & 3 by top tier members as they didn’t want the lower tier ticket holders catching the bigger fish).
Fond memories that will never leave me even though had to give up angling now due to health reasons😢
