I have to say this is a part of Paris I’ve never liked. Not that I’ve spent much time there.
ОтветитьWe are staying in Monmartre and following all your recommendations. Signed, Mexicans in Monmartre
Ответитьtellement de restos devant lesquels je peux passer sans m'arrêter déjeuner ou dîner. Purée, je crois que je vais tous les faire
ОтветитьJe m'appelle Marie Denise. When I went to Paris by myself in '12 I had heard of a well known restaurant...Chez Denise. I was to be meeting a French woman, via a friend, and I told her I wanted to eat there! So she took me there. Delish. Also, I stayed in Montmatre in a hostel. On my daily walks around the area, I stumbled upon a bistro off the beaten path, Chez Marie!! I had to eat there too!! Such memories!!!
ОтветитьI’m vegetarian, what restaurants would have options for me?
ОтветитьLe Petit Canard has closed its doors.
ОтветитьWhy do you pronounce Montmartre different from the French or is there more than one way to pronounce it?
ОтветитьI leave for paris in a week and you guys are leading me through the whole city! Thank you.
ОтветитьBravo pour le " petit canard ", il faut le repérer pas grand, très discret, excellent, mais petit, il faut réserver !! A+ ....
ОтветитьBouillon just cancelled my reservation for November 9th. I'm devastated! They're apparently doing some renovations in November, so I'll have to come back some other time. What should I do as an alternative? Can you let me know if I should go to the Sanglier Bleu instead or the other Bouillon location Republique?
ОтветитьArgh. I stumbled across a terrific duck restaurant in a tiny Mont Carlo backstreet years ago, but it's gone now. I just looked up Le Petit Canard from your video, and that's gone now as the proprietors retired.
ОтветитьHi question where to eat at Italian restaurants and after dinner you can throw a glass
ОтветитьI'm waiting for you both to do videos from the gastronomic center of the universe...Lyon. How 'bout it?
ОтветитьWatched your video and visited this place, Bullion pigalle. Dry chicken and stale bread. You need to order a full course per person and the waiter made the whole thing super confusing which was somehow clarified. Then when I asked for salt this guy completely ignores and then keep saying sel what sel what, what I assume he was expecting a please in the end, but since I was not able to understand whether he is understanding what I am saying I was jusy trying get the word across. Spoilt my mood for the evening.
ОтветитьHello. Are you American or English.
ОтветитьNo place. Food there is a scam--cafeteria at best, rubber at worst. Views great, lots of people-watching. But eat elsewhere. We know Paris, trust me on this!
ОтветитьWhere can you go for a really good Crepe? And Croissant?
ОтветитьYour videos helped so much with our trip to paris. We stayed in Montmartre and actually ate at a couple places you recommended, so thanks 😊
ОтветитьLove your videos! Unfortunately it seems that Le Petit Canard has permanently closed. My husband and I really want to try it out during our first stay in Paris next month. Am I mistaken?
Ответитьfun video
ОтветитьKindly try L’ete en pente douce around the middle part of the famous stairs at Montmartre. It’s a happy family run place. I accidentally discovered it. Food is delicious over there.
ОтветитьGuys what's up with the caption titles in your videos? The restaurant names are always weirdly misspelt.
ОтветитьMy wife and I are planning 6-week trip to Europe this summer (June, July, August) We love watching your food videos. We are putting a list together of your recommendations. The hard part will be narrowing them down. Thanks for doing an amazing job!!!
ОтветитьVery nice selection!!!! Approved by a native Parisian!
ОтветитьPlease include Indian and thai food as well in your next visit if possible.
ОтветитьThanks, The food is awesome 👌 I can't wait to try them all.
ОтветитьSo bon apetite
ОтветитьI so appreciate your videos. And I hope you're selling thousands of your guide.
ОтветитьViewing with envy.What a sumptuous menu you've always featured.IRRISISTIBLE.HMMMMMM!
Ответить❤❤thank you
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this tour. My favorites in Monmarte are sill La Maison Rose 2 Rue de l'Abreuvoir, 75018 Paris, France (Pink house café Monmarte) and L'Ete en Pente Douce
at the east end of the stairs from Sacre Cour. Love the recomendations for sure. You folks have the best video VBlog suggestions. Cafe Suzanne sounds amazing.
Bonjour Les Frenchies. C’est Josef. I arrived yesterday. Hotel is very accommodating and there is going to be a marche domain. Yesterday I lunched at an artisanal Boulangerie. After some sleep and a shower, I wondered around and decided to have a planchette of charcuterie and 50cls cote de bruillie at the corner café les Oiseaux. Everyone a local.
Today was café et croissant
at another artisan bakery. Outstanding. I took metro line 2 to Piggale and 12 to Abbesse. OMG, since I have never used this exit before, I had no idea about how many levels and the horrible number of steps. They really should have a warning. I’ll be dining at Bouillon Pigalle soon and le bon bock which are closer. I’m glad to be staying and immersed in Montmartre/Pigalle area. Much different from the Ar’s that run parallel to the Seine.
I never remember the weather in Paris this warm. Fortunately I dress in layers. A bientôt. Josef.
I wish I could do more than say, " thank you. "
ОтветитьLove the Relais de la Butte! Great Nicoise!
ОтветитьWe went to le Relais. Service is bad. Slow with not too many staff. Good area but really poor service
ОтветитьHad the pleasure of dining at le petit canard in Sept. 2021. Great goose foie gras and onion soup ... sadly they closed for good in July 2022. Suggestions for my next foie gras restaurant in Paris are welcome.
ОтветитьWent to Boullion Pigalle, the price was good, but the onion soup was lukewarm and the steak tough. You get what you pay for in this case.
ОтветитьLe Petit Canard is permanently closed
Ответить2 little words about the establishment "bouillon pigalle"
there is a mythical story about the "bouillons" of paris ("bouillon" = broth in English) and another more historical
according to this myth at the time of louis XIV, a butcher in paris was sorry to have to throw away pieces that were quite edible but not sold and asked his wife to make a broth with these pieces.
the next day seeing the cart drivers who came to make deliveries for him and these neighbors offered them a bowl of broth, he knew that few of them had been able to have breakfast in the morning.
a few centuries later, with the advent of the 1st industrial revolution (around 1850) some remembered the myth of the butcher and his broth.
they opened workers' canteens and les appelères: "bouillons" offering inexpensive but very nutritious meals to factory workers and other workers in paris.
There were up to 250 establishments of this type in Paris, but over the years more and more closed.
if, in 2006, there were only 3 left from the great era (the best known "Chartier grand boulvard" opened in 1896 next to the grevin museum),
since a few establishments have been open with the same type of menu (very simple cooking, low prices) and this same name of "bouillon"
Love your videos. New subscriber. Some of your videos have music that is too loud when there is no dialogue. I turn up the volume when you’re speaking and turn it down when you’re not speaking. Also, can you print more of the French names of places that you mention? Helps me learn more correct pronunciation. Thanks!
Ответитьgod bless you guys!
ОтветитьConcernant le chat noir le bouillon et le refuge des fondue les 3 sont pas chers certes mais immangeable. Les pauvres touristes qui y mangent là-bas
ОтветитьAny striped shirts?
ОтветитьPetit Canard is closed permanently?
ОтветитьThanks so much for all your videos,, i was just in paris in July and also 3 years ago and cant wait to go back. I feel relatively confident in getting around there ,, more and more each time, I am however still intimidated by restaurants that have that Blackboard out front with the menu all in french ,, I know you know what im talking about,, I know you are terribly busy but would love to see a video to help a traveler like me navigate that blackboard. I feel like if i were to sit down at a restaurant that had that i would spend an hour with google translate trying to figure out what each item is so i tend to avoid them which i feel is probably limiting me and keeping me from having a delicious experiance. Thank you !! Keep up the good work !
ОтветитьTruly enjoyed watching your show - wonderful job. I plan on visiting next early week February 2023. I plan on visiting some of the places you have recomended.
ОтветитьHi we’re in Paris right now and planning to go to sacre couer today or tomorrow. What is the easiest/efficient way from champs elysee
ОтветитьLe Petit Canard is permanently closed. 😢
