How to install/upgrade Nvidia GPU Drivers

Do I have to have an Nvidia account to do this? Because i made two and neither of them let me login and I can't download the drivers i need

Why does my gtx 1050 ti says its A microsoft basic display adapter and its from 2006 even tho the 1050 ti itself is a 2016 model, idk whats up with that

You definitely want to do as clean an install as possible with Nvidia drivers, ideally by first installing and using the tool DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), then when actually installing the driver selecting "custom" and checking the box "clean install". I do this every single time, because installing the new driver on top of the old driver is just asking for problems to occur.

I keep getting an error 43(on device manager). The gpu doesnt activate and im stuck at on board graphics. Even if i install the driver from GeForce experience its still the same thing. After a bit yhe display starts to blur up and everything eventually becomes a blurry mess. If I restart the PC then all I get is a black screen. any ideas on what to do guys?
