Thank you so much for this video and your other one about why a printer isn't printing one color! Have tried everything to fix my printer and this is the only thing that fixed it. I was about to take it to a repair shop or get a new printer.
ОтветитьThanks for this video. My TS9020 printer was missing the yellow and BK bands in the nozzle check pattern. Tried the windex and paper towel method and then soaking in warm distilled water and even blowing on the cartridge inlets to the printhead using a tubing. No difference. ..... Then with nothing to lose I tried your method. It worked beautifully and the nozzle check pattern is 100% good. ... Thanks again.
ОтветитьHi, Please could you help me with the error code 5208 or the service manual for MB5400 series?
Ответитьhello. In my particular case, I have used these techniques for many years. I have been a member of the defunct Epsonian forum and nowadays I uncover head injectors with running water without problems. all those who only speak for what they read and have not dared the challenge of experimenting there is the work of a professional, not to stay with what is read or the theory but of the challenge, to go further ... there is heads nowadays that no longer allow these tactics, such as the epson L series heads, as a contribution to this good tutorial, it only remains for me to say that the results obtained with ammonia before washing with running water are amazing, isopropyl alcohol a sometimes the results are worse. Given the type of head this technique of the hose and the tap of running water does not fit its use for Epson heads so to a lesser extent it would come to do almost the same. I immerse it in the ultrasound tray and use different trays, ultrasound times and different compositions, depending on the complexity of the obstruction, all for home use. As you can see here-what is not seen in the video is the drying technique after so much water-only for copyright, it is not shown but I know very well how it does it because I also use my own technique to dry that not It brings any kind of inconveniences like they want to do to see claiming that minerals etc etc etc. Even the lenses of laser units such as cdrom, dvd rom I have put them under water but whoever wants to believe or not is only a matter of challenges based on experience. very good video. My greetings from Mar del Plata Argentina.-
I've cleaned the print head as you demonstrated. Printer still prints blank pages. Any idea what the problem might be?
Ответитьcan you point me in the right direction for that hose and attachment you have for your sink??? Can't find one
ОтветитьHi, so i did this and it just got worse! Now it only prints blank pages what do i have to doo?!
ОтветитьIf you press the stop button for a few seconds it will automatically move the print head into the replacement position
Ответитьthank you, these videos are more helpful than anything canon itself puts out!
ОтветитьMy MX922 keeps printing double lines at the PGBK grid lines section during the nozzles check print... any idea what is wrong pls? I did the cleaning as you did in this video (thank you btw for this awesome instruction and easy to follow tutorial), I ran the test after cleaning, and the same issue happened again
ОтветитьNice video. Thanks. My 5520 won't print black text. I followed your vide and still have the same problem. On the test page it's not printing anything from the PGBK cartridge. I have not tried a new cartridge (I'd rather not purchase one if that cartridge is not the problem). Thoughts? Does it sound like a printhead problem or a cartridge problem? I've done deep cleaning with no change in results. I did NOT do a cleaning after removing and cleaning the inkhead.
Ответитьinteresting video. I have one question ... what do you use for "cleaning solution"?
ОтветитьThank you this worked. I ended up having a tube like yours and kinda used my hand to hold the other end over my regular faucet tightly and it was enough pressure to fix it!
ОтветитьHow do you put the black cartridge in
ОтветитьI did these steps and the PGBK and blk is still not printing. I did this 3 times and nothing. Any other tips?
ОтветитьTHANK YOU thank you thank you! Here I thought I was going to have to buy a new printer. The only tricky part was getting the print head out and back again. But a little finesse turned the trick. I soaked my head (people have been suggesting I do that for years!) and then used the faucet flow to flush out the ink channels.
My Pixma MX922 is happy now, thanks to you.
Very helpful, thanks man.......
ОтветитьAh watching those clogs getting washed away is so satisfying thanks this helps a lot
ОтветитьCouldn't believe it was going back in without a night to dry out in a warm place.
I shook the water off hard, and put it straight back in.
Remember. It already was printing badly! So I wasn't going to loose out.
Major result. Perfect printing again.
Excellent.
Thank you.
Thank you, I was struggling to put it back after cleaning
ОтветитьGood.
ОтветитьI tried this last week and wanted to thank you for this. You saved me from having to buy another printer. I dipped the printhead in boiling water multiple times and opened the hot water on just a bit to get it to fall as wide as a straw to clean each color and after 30-40 minutes it was all back to normal.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU for a very detailed and step by step instruction!!!
ОтветитьI need to pull the print cartriage out...and follow your cleaning....I had No idea it would slip out to be cleaned...OK pull all ink cartriages then Grab the tray and gently pull it out "RIGHT" ?
ОтветитьSo helpful thanks- you have to see someone do this to understand how to remove the print head . No amount of manuals could ever illustrate it as well as this guy. Top man!
ОтветитьThank you so much. A life saver 😊
ОтветитьDO NOT use tap water as it still contains (although harmless to your health) minerals, lime, etc. which will block the nozzles when the water dries out.
Instead, use demineralized clean water for car batteries, steam irons, etc.
Washing-up liquid is ok, but only the raw type without hand lotion, and only a small drop to counteract the surface tension of the water.
Add isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to the water, water / IPA = 4 / 1.
you didnt show how to take that piece out you just said to push on it
ОтветитьThank you so much for posting! I have restored my print head and printing color again!
Ответитьthank you very much
ОтветитьWhere do I get the faucet cap that's attached to the sink-faucet?
ОтветитьSo happy with the results. My colors are a little worse than before, but I expect that's from water dilution. But I had nothing from the large black and now it's totally good!
Also, I did forget about how much I struggled with getting the print head out. The video helped me get it out easier than the first time.
Thanks for the help. Very informative. I cleaned the print head on my Canon MG6620, but I'm not getting even printing. I liked the part where you inspect the flow, I am going to go back and do it again paying more attention.
ОтветитьThank you. Got B200 error code on PIXMA MX920. This gives me the confidence to try cleaning the printhead myself. What do you use for a cleaning solution?
ОтветитьHmmm... exposure to water... Probably not a good thing!!
Best to use isopropyl alcohol (80% or stronger) to clean the printer head.
You know isopropyl alcohol evaporates unlike water which can linger in the tightest crevices risking the chance of a fried Canon!!
It’s like you live in Uzbekistan around 1994, when you have very old looking US$ you just wash with detergent, iron them and good to go!😀😀👍🏻
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial. My takeaway was that you can really get it all wet and it will still work. I replaced my 2 ink cartridges and nada, so while I was shopping for a new print head, I came across this video and it allowed me to experiment. I ran it under warm water from both side and saw the ink and various "clots" coming out of the print head. Kept it up for about 5-10 minutes, then blew off the excess water, let it sit for a while to dry, put it back in with fresh ink and viola'. Worked like a charm. Thanks for saving me $45 for a new print head.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! I did not want to buy a new printer and all the automatic 'cleaning' options were not doing the trick. You literally saved me time and money!
ОтветитьIm trying it to soak in water coz sone say u cant soak the printerhead chip . Cross finger it will work for me
ОтветитьOkay i tried this one but still my printer says alkost out of ink but my inks are still full coz they are new. What else can i do?
ОтветитьGetting a laser printer is another good option. All inkjet printers are prone to clogging - happens every time you don’t use it for a short while.
ОтветитьIf you hold down the cancel button after you remove the ink, the head should move to the head removal position
ОтветитьIf you hold the red triangle for 5 seconds after removing cartridges, the head will move to the right itself for head unit maintenance.
ОтветитьWonderful! REQUEST - Can you do a video on manually cleaning a Canon Refillable printer? (e.g. Canon Maxify GX7020)
ОтветитьNo it is not the same for all canon pix as
ОтветитьThanks for this video. Now to find a faucet connector. I actually have a pressurized wayer bottle. I bet a squeeze bottle would also work.
ОтветитьCan you tell me why my Cannon MG6320 prints blank paper?
I cleaned the printhead per your cleaning instructions, twice. I am able to do a deep clean and see the ink level go down. Still no print on the paper and no codes. Printer gets lite home use.
All your gonna do is ruin the printhead. This is a Canon thermal type printhead and they almost never clog. If it seems clogged then the printhead is toast.
ОтветитьI get streak of lines thru the middle same spots could this be the reasons
Ответить
