ОтветитьI remember when typefaces pertained to the print characters from a typewriter, which characters had similar sizes. Each alphabet, number, punctuation mark and some symbols similar sizes. Each alphabet, number, punctuation marks, and some symbols had the same width and height measurements that can fit into a one-inch line was called "pitch." There were four pitch sizes: "10" as the largest pitch, "12," "15," and "17" pitch as the smallest on some electronic typewriters. Very few typewriters had one design font added. Printer fonts are flexible because all characters do not have the same measurements as do typefaces. Some characters are taller and deeper than others, especially font characters with serifs on them. I have seen printer fonts derived from Adobe Linotype typesetters, which computer and manufacturers emulated to add to their computer and printer drivers and software. I would prefer to use typefaces on checks, small cards and some forms; I prefer to use printer fonts on everything else.👍
ОтветитьHad to give you a dislike once you stooped to the level of common people by substituting "font" for "typeface."
Ответить"some people believe" lmao no it's been proven.
ОтветитьTimes New Roman hits me like Comic Sans hits others.
"Hipsters like Helvetica." Yeah, that about says it.
I noticed you mentioned TrueType and OpenType but not PostScript, the technology that was the foundation of all of this.
Adobe now says their Creative Cloud apps will no longer support Type 1 fonts.
I now say I will no longer support Adobe.
Make mine Palatino.
Your so manly🙃

ОтветитьIt’s so important that you use the right font for the right message or tone you are trying to convey. Don’t realize it until you see someone who does it wrong
ОтветитьIt’s funny growing up how much we suddenly learned about different fonts right when we started getting into word processing and computers. I never really thought about them until then when I was in my early 20s.
ОтветитьHuh, everything I never knew I wanted to know! Thanks!
ОтветитьTimes New Roman!!! Times New Roman!!! Must......be..... Time News Roman!!

ОтветитьWhat font was in thumbnail?
ОтветитьWhat's somenale font?
ОтветитьDo about comic sans
ОтветитьI don't mind Comic Sans, but I hated being forced to use it at school.
ОтветитьI've always been fond of comic sans. :-(
ОтветитьI definitely want to see the font psychology video
ОтветитьI used Helvetica before hipsters thought it was cool
Ответитьwhy do they use Killigrew Font for "thug life"
ОтветитьI'm down for the psychology of typefaces! Do eeet!
Ответитьyoooo does anyone know what kind of font thats on the thumbnail of this video?
ОтветитьHey could you guys do a video on how power supplies work? Like how they convert ac into dc and how cheap ones differ from "all digital ones" Thanks
Ответитьpshych the shit out of that font :)
ОтветитьYes, do the video on why different fonts are desirable or hated.
Also, Consolas, Helvetica and Impact are all we need. You're welcome.
Dangit, I wanted to dislike this but you did a fine job. As a graphic artist I endorse this video as legit.
ОтветитьI like Segoe UI Light, it looks so modern
ОтветитьIf you are trying to figure out what to make videos about, I got a few suggestions: What is a North Bridge? What exactly is a screw/bolt and what sizes will I come across building a PC (what size are stand offs for example), Difference between TN, IPS, LCD, LED? Case mods? How to build a case?
Good video. Not great, but good.
I would love to see why Comic Sans is such a hated font.
ОтветитьAs a font hipster, Helvetica Neue was my font of chose for most things — but these days I've been more into Colfax, Circular, and Proxima Nova.
also: Comic Sans... No. Just no. Never ever use it.
How much of a nerd am I to watch a video on Typefaces and Fonts? Me? I like Raleway and Architecht's Daughter. Does anybody remember WYSIWYG? It made sense when we were embedded in plain text on screen. But today? I have to enlarge my document view (like 150%) to get something similar to what will appear on the page--(27" monitor).
ОтветитьI actually disable cleartype because it fucking hurts my eyes.
