My man River
ОтветитьWay to go River. Always watch to the end, lol.
ОтветитьRecently showed my nephew the UNI knot and told him I used it for 90% of what I do while fishing ( knot related ). Fly, spin, or bait casting this knot is definitely a problem solver. Great video! I shared the video to him 👍
ОтветитьI often tie it with hemostats. Super fast and strong.
ОтветитьGreat content! The backing barrel is a great tool. I recently had to do an on the water fly line connection and the Uni worked well! Didn't realize this was the "nail-less nail knot".
ОтветитьWe need more river
ОтветитьUni knot along with double davy is one of my favorite knots! Another advantage of using it to add a dropper fly to a bend in the hook, is it's easier to tie than a clinch because you can pre-tie it on your finger and easily transfer it to the hook. Great video as usual!
ОтветитьMy Aussie loves frisbee too! The uni and the Davy are lifesavers
ОтветитьReally helpful video …some great tips and questions answered that I’d had in my mind for a while …thanks a lot
ОтветитьHaha, love the Lord of the Rings reference. Thanks Josh and Dom.
ОтветитьGreat info there thanks !
ОтветитьBack to back uni knot is 100% how I attach tippet to my leader. Been doing it for a couple of years now and it's never failed on me once.
ОтветитьI’ve used the Uni knot religiously for all my time fly fishing . It’s the first knot my dad taught me in the old bass boat as a kid . It’s nice to see that other people are using it and using it for far more then I knew I could ! Thanks for the tips ! ✌🏼
ОтветитьYour awesome Dom!!! I've learned so much from your channel!!!!
ОтветитьCould you hang a dry off of it when tied as an adjustable sighter?
ОтветитьThe uniknot and double uni are fantastic knots! Great video!
ОтветитьLove it thanks
Ответитьhow would you attach 10lb braid to 4/6 lb fluorocarbon? My double uni always break off. I can do 10lb to 8lb just fine.
Ответить🤯
ОтветитьI got into fishing spin and fly 4 months ago, learned the uni knot first and then blood, palomar, surgeons, clinch, fg and perfection loop. I still use uni knot and perfection loop pretty much all the time. So easy, neat and strong.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьSo if you can slide the uniknot up and down the leader, then if you put a dry dropper above it, you would not have to tie the line around the eye of hook, it would hit the knit and stop. Am i understanding that correctly?
ОтветитьUsed the backing barrel with the 20 LB Orvis Dacron and it changed my whole game. I picked up the sighter, meaning tag, so much quicker. Does it make sense to be making my euro leaders now without the colored sighter since there is no need. Thanks for all you do.
ОтветитьThis pretty different than a 16-20 (Pitzen) knot? Being able to adjust it seem to be a better advantage.
Ответитьgreat info ..I learned something
ОтветитьWhat would you do to prevent the sliding when adding a tag line? In your demonstration there was a blocking knot but typically on a new leader it’s knotless
ОтветитьAwesome knot ,thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video ! I don't knew where I got the idea of the uni knot was complicated. With your description, I mastered it immediately, that's not easy to say when you're talking about the 16/20 knot or the basic blood knot.
I have one question, when you are tying two sections of leader, at what size difference do you go to the double uni ?
If I could give this more then one thumbs up I would!
Great video thanks for sharing
When attaching backing to the spool, clip the tag off before you pull the line down tight. That way, you dont have to fumble around down inside the spool trying to clip it off and possibly nick or scratch the inside of the spool. Just clip the tag a tiny bit long in case it slips when you yank it down.
