Love this post....watched a bazillion times....but as I watched it today I recall my youth and seeing cars like these at Trenton Speedway and never thought about the way there was NO thought in how the cockpit material would burn.
ОтветитьI want one!
ОтветитьNothing sounds quite like the Offy.
ОтветитьYo quiero uno pa mi
ОтветитьLove to see that old stuff!
ОтветитьBorn and raised in Indy. Unfortunately too late to see these open wheel roadsters race. I would love to drive one sometime. Not real fast, but fast enough to get the feel. I believe that Indy and F1 in the 50's - 70's were really the days of gladiators of racing. It is sad when a driver dies in a crash. But imagine how alive they all feel while in a race. I was a paratrooper in the Army. Jumping, especially at night with full combat gear is a rush. I believe that they give somewhat the same feeling.
ОтветитьFantastic! Those engines sound wonderful, and the cars were beautiful! I think the 50s and 60s are my favorite era Indy cars!
ОтветитьThe V8 Indy 500 Cars is more Like Nascar car

Ответитьsomething tells me if these things raced on the track with modern day nascars, they'd stand a chance if not neck and neck
