The police were being aggressive, but the situation could have been resolved if you had shown them your original consultation letter, which confirms your prescribed cannabis. That's all they need to see. In the UK, the police require your name and the dosage information for medical cannabis. Once they verify this, they would have handled the situation similarly to how they handle Codeine and Diazepam cases.

I have personal experience with private healthcare, where I once encountered a police officer with a sniffer dog at a train station. I had Tapentadol (class A), Alprazolam (class A), and Cannabis (class B) with me, all in their original packaging with labels. Surprisingly, the police officer was very kind, and we even shared a joke about how it proved the effectiveness of the dogs. You don't need to respond aggressively or be difficult. Just show them the correct documents, and they will leave.

Lol how they expect you to prove your innocence. Without any evidence that you are guilty of anything. Innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proof lies with the officer. The "suspect" actually said he had a prescription. The job of the officer at that point is to establish if that is true. What she actually does is assume a criminal is lying to her but makes no effort to prove her assertion. This is really bad policing. I would sue for emotional distress.

So many police officers have not been trained and informed of Medical Cannabis and it’s heath benefit 😢 unfortunately the NHS are not prescribing because they also have not been trained . There are many private clinics that can help with multiple illnesses. Sapphire Clinic Harley street London has a NHS Access Scheme.
