He’s a key figure in the clandestine wranglings of two superpowers: the United States and China. The FBI announced a five-million-dollar bounty for information leading to his arrest. Intelligence agencies and investigators have been trying for decades to stop him in his tracks: the arms dealer Karl Lee.

The Chinese businessman has helped Iran develop its huge missiles arsenal. Missiles that kill in the Middle East, that are supplied to Russia for possible deployment in Ukraine and have the potential to carry nuclear warheads. The documentary is the first to tell the story of the hunt for the phantom-like Karl Lee, alias Li Fangwei, probably the world’s most dangerous weapons dealer. He’s been indicted in absentia in the US and American presidents have even personally asked Beijing to take action against him. But his network continues to be active; and he’s still high up on the FBI’s most-wanted list. And this, at a time when missiles and nuclear warheads are becoming a tangible threat to humanity.
The documentary follows Karl Lee’s trail across four continents, from Washington and New York to Tel Aviv, from Europe to Teheran, Beijing and Karl Lee’s factory in northeastern China. The prize-winning investigative journalists Philipp Grüll, Frederik Obermaier and Bastian Obermayer provide unique insights into the world of spy agencies and diplomacy. At the same time, the film is a lesson in the powerlessness of the West and the rise of China - as well as an unflinching appraisal of the new world order.

American arms dealers = job creators.
Chinese arms dealers = grave threat to the world.
Funny how when the capital gains of American politicians are on the line arms dealing is a big problem.

Before this Hamas attack, I would think Lee had to be petrified over mossad looking for him, but with this huge intelligence failure in Israel, he is prob more relaxed now a days.
Iran doesn’t scare anyone, as its people will revolt the second it is possible. Same as in Russia, as the recent mutiny showed supporters coming out of the woodwork to encourage Wagner…

The largest exporters of weapons are also the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Karl Lee just like Viktor Bout and many other notorious "arms dealers" before him, are just the intermediaries, between the 5 and the entities, they should not be supplying with weapons!

Regarding the China correspondents? Is it practical to just walking around and knock around places looking for Lee Fang? Like do they expect people to just say "yeah I know him do you want me to lead you to him?". Is it really that easy?

I think china will do nicly. China landmass is almost like a mirror image of USA. Size and biomes.

USA is probably the best country on earth for habitats it literally has everything.

Deserts. Swamps. Forests. Ice mountain's. Sun mountains. Valleys. Beaches hot and cold.

Idk if China has all that but i know they have hot and cold and most importantly they have the great wall. So we could move in on the cities and let them go live outside the wall. Then they can sort out their difficulties with human rights when they themselves need to fight for human rights. Its practically win win.

First of all, he does not sell "weapons" like missiles or submachine guns, he sells normal products like gyroscopes, lasers and metals, how the Iranians use it, that is not his problem, China does not have to arrest him and much less extradite him because apart of China no having an extradition treaty with America, he has not broken any law in China, the gringos are upset because he is selling to a country that they don't like, if he sold the same thing to Ukraine they would be praising him. Apart from that, why do the Chinese have to care? The gringos are arming Taiwan with real weapons, not products like the ones Lee sells.
