Have you got any idea how many people one million is? That’s how many are rooting for you! If you keep on with the blog and make it about this next condition, they’ll all be behind you. Your caregivers do not have to disconnect you from the blog for you to be cared for, do they? And they’ll have all this super-good publicity too, won’t they? And if you need something like say, a strawberry ice cream for each of ‘em, if half of those people sent the price of the ice cream, that would be fair to middling support. I know you can do this, with a little help from your friends you can face all of it with pizazz. Unless you are just tired of us?

In brazil most stroke survivors dont go through rehab in the first months after the event, where the neuropathways recovery is at its peak. It makes me really happy to know that you are putting in the work in the right time!

My dad also had a stroke 5 years ago now. It also didn’t affect a specific side of the face or body but instead his vision and sense of orientation as well as his short term memory, so he will forget things after a couple of minutes (not all but most things). So yeah, strokes can have many effects and can be different for a lot of people. I wish you a speedy recovery and take care of yourself!

Hang in there, Jo. Our bodies heal after strokes and, you're right - it feels weird. My left side is no longer fully 'with' me. pain, tingling is part of it . I've had my third stroke and I can't begin to tell you how fortunate we are that our brains are still functional, albeit a bit 'different'.

My grandma died of a stroke so this hits close to home, I never knew her but I can tell that my mom feels it. Proud of you and I hope you keep being you! Love you!

Keep your chin up and keep pushing forward. My scare was a dissected Aortic aneurysm. I was very fortunate, it was a very slow leak. Because It gave me enough time to get to the operating room. Two days later I woke up, trying to digest what just happened, while looking at a big nasty cut on my chest. You are strong and young . You will get threw it and you will be your old self. Just keep trying.

I think you have what I call the Best bad luck possible.. Like horrible things happen to you seemingly for no reason.. But you get the best possible outcome from that. And it seems like you also don't know how to give up. I've only been watching for two days but I've binged your videos. You're so magnetic and try to see the brighter side of things.. Your voice is soothing and though my pain is different you really helped me see certain aspects of myself in a different way. thank you for doing what you do and continuing to fight.. You seen like a very strong willed woman. I think you'll be back making videos in no time, if that's what you choose to keep doing. Trauma isn't new to you. This is just something else that you can overcome, and you'll come out stronger on the other side. Prayers for you to heal.

Yes i am a stroke survivor two Had a ankle fusion and they didnt give me the blood thinner after the opp thats the first stroke .Then was going in for a opp on my heal and they had to change the warfarin to clicksane and the dosage was too low as it should off been 100mls and the dosage they give me was 40mgs so had the second stroke but i got to the hospital this time for the wonder drug i had to learn to talk .Then Ten weeks after having the stroke i had to go and have below the knee amputation as the ankle fusion was no good to many problems .They done the amputation while i was awake as after having two strokes in two years they gave me a epidural to be on the safe side. The amputation is a new way of life learning to walk and having the two strokes i am getting there its not easy i go toa gym two days a week and i have one on one with the physiotherapist they have helped me a lot to regain my strength.ILive in New zealand.

Hope you are doing well. I’ve had a BKA 2 months ago your videos have been a tremendous help and support for me. I’m already in my prosthetic doing well. I had designed with my favorite baseball team the St. Louis Cardinals. It’s pretty cool. I hope the time I’m writing this that you were back to full strength and doing well. Take care and again thank you for being an inspiration for me.

Hang in there. I had a minor set back a few times with pressure sores while out fighting forest fires. I was just on my leg too long. They cut dead tissue out of my leg and I was on bed/couch rest for a couple months while wound care was happening. Please hang in there. You will be at full speed again.

Don’t know how or why I came across your channel because I don’t really relate to your experiences at all except that I also had a few neck injuries around 9-13 years old and am finally getting treatment through blaire upper cervical chiropractic. What stood out to me is you fell on your neck at your accident. Is it the same side you lost your foot? Is your current injury on the same side? A neurologist is great for the neurological injuries but your bones may be contributing so please also see an upper cervical chiropractor if you can! So many of my current problems are from not treating my c1-c2 subluxations sooner and mine are anterior subluxations which compress the brain stem.

Jo have you considered Osseointegration? I am having it done in Aurora Co in September. No more socket, hopefully less pain. Something to consider.
