My mom, while she didn't have lupus, she did have the antibodies (she found out after I was born - 1992). I was delivered early by c-section because my heart rate dropped about 6 weeks out from my due date. I have heart block so they monitored me closely until I was 4 years old and large enough to place a pacemaker. At 28, I've lived a very active in life, cheering from 6th grade - college. When I got pregnant, I asked for the SSA antibody test and was negative. Now I'm thinking, should I get tested each pregnancy?

I also wanted to send prayers your way that everything would go smoothly with both you and the baby!

Think happy thoughts. If you keep thinking and worrying excessively that something will be wrong, it doesnt help baby any. Stress isn't good for baby or momma.I have severe anxiety so I understand it's not something you can just turn off, but when those fears come flooding in, just imagine holding your healthy baby and bringing them home and growing up strong and healthy. Find your favorite happy thoughts about baby and the future and hold on tight to it, replaying it again and again in your head.

I’m around the same gestational age as you right now. I’ve had a toxoplasmosis scare and was scared about a month ago because I was so sick with nausea In my first trimester that my baby was a little small at one of my scans. You guys are doing everything you can. Just have faith and listen to your body...that’s what I do. Baby boy is doing great, no Toxoplasmosis in baby and baby after that scan in 2-3 weeks had a big growth spurt I didn’t expect and he’s now not in danger of being small..and I’m just doing what I can and keep having faith.. crying is normal when you are worried...I did the same..kudos on looking at the scientific literature!...you guys are on top of it and sounds like you have a great medical team. All the best 💖✨😇!

I love that you have so much positivity- we are told in the Bible to “take every thought captive” and you are doing exactly that through 🙏 prayer. One day at a time - one thought at a time - you’ve got this! Think how far you’ve come and imagine the day you will get to meet this sweet baby face to face - what a wonderful day that will be!
I think it was Walt Disney who said, “Worry is a waste of imagination” - so don’t worry - imagine the good stuff & we’ll be right here praying and imagining what a wonderfully beautiful human you’re growing inside!

I am so glad I saw this video. My daughter had lupus as well. She takes 200 mg of the exact same medication every day for the last 12 years. She has been in remission for a long time (thank God)! Wishing all the best and will drop in now and then to see how you are doing.

Have to be honest I stopped watching because it's triggering for me, but so glad that most things are good. I'll pray for your baby and you and carry a healthy pregnancy and deliver a healthy strong baby 👶🏻❤🙏🏻

I was born with tricuspid atresia, a ventricular septal defect and a mitral valve prolapse and had 3 open heart surgeries, the first was just after I was born and the last was when I was 4. My parents were told the outlook was very poor, and there were all these milestones with different statistical rates for survival.. but they persevered and today I’m 26 years old, studying pre medicine and am able to run half marathons/ surf/ do pretty much everything as normal.
