We have a system of cushy socialism for the super rich . this kind of brutal, savage, merciless capitalism for the poor, it's all designed to strip mine the middle class of this country of all of their equity, all of their assets, and move it to the upper echelons. And the COVID lockdowns were the final straw. As an investor, I was caught in the storm, my portfolio suffering significant losses. Now, I stand at the precipice, looking for a path to recovery, ready to rise from the ashes. I've set asides $250k to invest for future, unfortunately I'm a complete noob.

Start investing into a Roth as early as possible. Invest 5 percent of money into some proven ETFs like VOO Schd Qqqm Spread it among these whether markets are up or down. You’ll have freedom. I love working and am 63. It’s great to know I can leave anytime. This is freedom. Please follow the magic of compound interest. It works. God bless all of you as we have 4 daughters and their investments are climbing where they’ll have financial freedom at 50.

I got this on recommendation from a friend who also invests into the same index funds.

So far I have listened to it approximately 8 times over the passed few years.

Fidelity's FSKAX charges .015% on their total US stock market fund which is cheaper than Vanguard.

Well that’s not true wealth that’s playing it safe in life. You won’t have a beach house or a car with a nice symbol. You’ll just be able to afford your death when you are older.

Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.

Great video, I love how you take your time to educate your viewers we all strive towards financial stability and a better Life. It is easy to achieve this through the right investment, by living frugally and budgeting. I'm grade I learned early in life to work hard for financial freedom.

All great points, and they align well to John Bogle's own advice - the "father" of the index fund. Regarding which total market and total bond funds to use, Vanguard is great - but I'd actually opt for VTI and BND instead, as these are the ETF equivalents. ETFs can be bought and sold intra-day, which gives them a slightly better edge and control element. Moreover, I believe they're slightly more tax efficient.

Again, all great points - building wealth is a simple formula - the discipline to stick with it, not pawn it off on someone else, and live these simple rules daily is what matters in the long run.

Nobody can suddenly become prosperous financially. Although they did the background work, we mostly see the ultimate product. Fear is a harmful factor that prevents us from making the courageous decisions we need to make in order to achieve our goals. You have to deal with things like inflation, the recession, Fed policies, and more. In just a few months, I was able to add $289k to my portfolio.

This is a good book, just like another book - income factory.

Save money on books at the library anf if you want to own it you can buy it second hand

I would recommend as a follow up to this book RETIRE BEFORE MOM AND DAD by Rob Berger. He uses numbers to give concrete examples of how to mathematically evaluate your financial performance.

Where could I invest in VTSAX stock?

I’ve been splitting my investments between fidelity 500 and total market to try and average the gains and losses. Is this a good idea? I’ve also thrown in some large cap growth. Thoughts?

Why VTSAX and not VOO?
