Arma4 should definitely better destruction physics and thriving citys👀 if the ai could react that would be cool too.....i have the ufo mod
ОтветитьCan’t imagine any sim flying without TrackIR. Have one VIRPIL product - rudder pedals. Outstanding piece of hardware. VKB Sim joystick is a great and not-to-costly joystick. Have used this setup for several thousand hours of Helo flying in Arma, both standard and advanced flight model. Also used for MS 2020 pflight sim (with additional control panels). 30 year private pilot and AC builder (including one rotorcraft), and I find this setup to be VERY adequate and satisfying.
Ответитьhow do you get that really nice bloom effect around the lights in your cockpit?
ОтветитьHopefully Arma 4 would be hyper realistic
ОтветитьBasically, get a stick if you are enthusiastic about flying and want to also try out something besides Arma 3, and rather play with mouse if you're not planning to fly anything other than Arma 3
ОтветитьHow are the graphics so good?
ОтветитьWatching this in 2023 and a voice keeps talking in my head
The voice: "It's not the plane, it's the pilot"
hey
ОтветитьMods man, mods
Ответитьwhat exactly is different?
all these people saying its different you gotta feel it you gotta try it. its just different.
just.. Tell me?
Cause that's the same tactic used by scammers trying to sell new shit in the same market. "oh this cup is new , you have to try it , its new and different its something you have to feel to get it , so much better i cannot go back to a regular cup"
Its like all these flight sims. Falcon 4.0 , Eagle's previous works. and suddenly DCS is on the rise? I dont fucking buy it.. AT ALL.
It was free to start.. and ever since i've been seeing DCS videos there has always been this feel of FOMO. Other games it "it does THIS" .. this is "Its a sim.. its a flight sim.. my god its a good flight sim"
but at the end.
the gameplay looks just as shit as Flight Sim X.
Your voice sounds like mrbossftw
ОтветитьCan you use the throttle as an infantry? For eg the analog joystick on throttle use for WASD (albeit analog) and various buttons for push to talk (ACRE, TFAR, teamSpeak, etc) and many other things. ARMA being need a lot of buttons I just thought just a simple keyboard feel not enough (because of space and reach)
ОтветитьWith the Saitek X52 i would recommend getting the X52 Oro over the regular x52, I've heard bad build quality and durability stories about the standard X52 but have used the X52 pro quite a lot and I love it, i was very lucky however and got a Thrustmaster Warthog as a gift and that's just awesome but the X52 Pro will always still be a great HOTAS to me
ОтветитьI have only used my Thrustmaster T.16000m Hotas and rudder pedals in Elite Dangerous (so far), and judging from that experience, i would say that it definitely makes the game much more fun and immersive, but that it is also require maybe a week or 2 of practice before it starts feeling somewhat "natural". Especially the pedals are pretty awkward in the beginning, but im sure its a lot better if it is set up in a gaming rig that places the pedals in a good position... Sucks that they are so expensive...
ОтветитьHey drewski! I am coming to arma from DCS to fly in this sim. Could you do a setup for the the hotas warthog?
ОтветитьWould be nice to have a downloadable controller settings for different sticks and Hotas setup
ОтветитьI have a stick but idk how to connect it
ОтветитьCovid still sucks, graphic cards are still out of stock.
ОтветитьI'm having troubles with keybinds formy hotas DCS is much better figuring out keybinds then arma3
ОтветитьIf you have not looked into it yet you would probably enjoy Star Citizen. They have really changed the game lately and made it alot better.
Ответитьinstead of buying a 250 stick which is kinda bad, get a good stick for 150 VKB Gladiator NXT :D
ОтветитьThe amount of precision I get when flying with my hotas is borderline surgical compared to mouse and keyboard any day. The real challenge is setting everything up in a way to where you can still access your mouse and keyboard quickly and comfortably in the event that you have to ditch your aircraft.
ОтветитьWatching this at the end of 2021, everything you hoped for got worse 😔
Ответитьive been looking into stuff like this i got arma for ground combat then i wanted to try air to ground and i have like 15 to 20 hrs on kbm and im still not half good at it and i thought it would be cool to get a HOTAS
Ответитьwhat about the Logitech 3d pro
ОтветитьDCS and IL2, yes. ARMA 3...a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is PLENTY enough. Nobody should be dumb enough to spend $1,000 on a HOTAS for ARMA 🤣🤣
ОтветитьIf you already have one, go for it
ОтветитьQuick question, how do you get the gau, on the wipeout?
ОтветитьFor what it is I think the flight Model's perfect for a combined arms game like Arma 3. It's not too simple that anyone can just hop in a fly, but it's not hyper realistic where you need at least an hour of knowledge just to take off. And when you compare the flying model in this game vs battlefield, COD, GTA, any triple A titlte with flying. Arma far surpasses it in realism. It's meant to be a Tactical Vaguely Milsim game. To where it's perfectly realistic for that balance of fun and yet hardcore enough that with heavy experience you can achieve pass those who are new. A learning Curve.
ОтветитьCan you do a video on setting the HOTAS controls up? If you have already, please link it. Thanks
ОтветитьA yoke on a joystick is a lot cheaper and space saving than having to get yaw pedals.
Ответитьhi where did you buy the support for the joystick and the joistick "extension"?
Ответить“Hoe task”-subtitles
ОтветитьI just wanna be able to land a hummingbird.
ОтветитьOo nice, you've got very similar equipment as me. I love Virpil's stuff.
ОтветитьIMHO, Lock On: Modern Air Combat (LOMAC)'s level of detail with regard to the avionics and weapons would be a perfect fit for Arma.
Ответитьanyone scouring the comments section:
I got a X52 Pro years ago for Elite Dangerous. I absolutely can recommend that, it's not overly difficult to set up and with some patience you will notice alot of difference in your piloting. I think once I had it set up I booted up the game, loaded in and started playing and tweaking the button mapping to fit me, took about 2 hours. But it was time well spent. Never tried it for arma, It didnt work well with war thunder and recently tried it on starwars squadrons. Which is ED lite IMO. But again, easy to set up and configure as you need it.
Been playing sims for years. A bit of DCS, but mostly the older games like Lock On and a lot of FSX, all with joystick. HOTAS is very usefull and more immersive than just a stick. But for Arma which I started playing around 2005 I started using a controller. When Arma 3 was released I mainly used an Xbox 360 controller as I was a dedicated helicopter pilot. Never liked the feel of the fixed wing aircraft in Arma 3 with a joystick, so if you want to save a buck, go for an Xbox controller. It's ridiculously easy to fly a littlebird with the controller.
Speaking of TrackIR. It's expensive af for how old they are. I bought mine when I got Operation Arrowhead. It's vital for flight and situational awareness(unless you have an analoge thumbstick like a controller or an expensive Vrpil stick). Not sure how good Tobii Eye Tracker works with Arma, but that might be an alternative.
I use a ps4 controller, you have controll of not only the rudder but also your head movement it is actually ideal and very cheap in comparison...
ОтветитьImagine driving a tank with a hOTAS
ОтветитьWhats your Bloom settings?
ОтветитьBro .. i dont have money for arma ... and you are asking me to but 250 dolllar joystick for arma
ОтветитьI need to know all his flight control settings.
Are they interchangeable with DCS world and other games?
I really want this for kerbal space program
ОтветитьIve played arma and ive immediately refunded it bcs its weird game to understand
