The thing that makes sako 4 times the price is not just the material or the parts they use it’s also about how much they sell in the store I bet they sell 3 times more ruger Americans then sakos just because there’s not as many sakos a rugers

Just buy a .300 Weatherby Magnum. In Vanguard if you're on a budget or a Mark V if you can afford it. You'll have it for life then your son will, then your grandson will and it will be just like new.
You take any game animal in North America with it at over 1,400 yards!

When dealing with a company like Sako which is made in Finland and is a socialist country then you have to wonder are you paying for quality workmanship and parts or are you just paying more for their taxes and regulations

Hello, Thank you for your presentation I enjoyed just being able to pick up a gun and (mercy) have that kind of range :) It was a nice day dream right.. Me personaly if i'm working on a car or building a cabinet or hunting game or shooting match if I can afford it it is allways and I mean allways better to have really nice tools for me anyways. I appreciate good machinery. It is a kind of mindset that when a painting is hanging on the wall you can still see it if it is level or not. I would just prefer it to be level without defects. Thanks again and best regards, Tom

One of the main differences that is not discussed is the long term value of the rifles. Which one will escalate in value versus the other? I would venture a guess that the Sako will do so.

Most budget rifles I’ve checked out feel barrel heavy and the bolt is clunky. Theoretically a rifle is something that will last, and get handed down. My choice is to go with what has the better action/shoot-ability and feels good. Personally I’m not a fan of synthetic stocks, maybe it’s old fashioned but walnut just looks and feels better. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews on Savage and Ruger; but Tikka ( a Sakko brand) has an incredible amount of positive views and sits around $1000, depending on the model, and has one with a walnut stock. I’m still a believer in quality over quantity, I’ll by one rifle that will take deer, elk, moose, bear over having several different affordable ones. In the end it’s what makes you happy.

I "bench rest" test with every rifle. I try different ammo in the rifle to see which one groups the best. Which ever ammo groups best, that's the ammo I zero in the rifle with and use in that particular rifle. I know if I miss, it's me and not the rifle or ammo.

98% of the time you can take any budget rifle and work up a hand load for it and get 1/2 groups. That’s been my experience. I get a nice rifle because I want it, not just because of inherent accuracy

I'm only 5ft 7in... maybe I'm too "short" for this channel. Sometimes you are just like fingernails on a chalkboard. For others I'm guessing you are music to their ears. It is rare that I can get through one of these without fast forwarding. Note; you can buy a CZ rifle for less than 2000 and it is probably a higher quality rifle.

Deer hunting in Georgia you don’t need hair splitting accuracy when the average shot is 50 yards. The difference is more expensive rifles trigger and the bolt is smoother and long range shooting

Sure, a name or brand for the extra $$ is great however, the Weapon of choice being used is only limited to the Person’s knowledge, experience and ability.
I can pick up a $400 and $2k and still guide that lead 3-400 Meters (dot) with either.
Still a great skit to watch - a man or woman taking to a weapon and showing there is no such thing as a “bad gun.”
I almost expected it to behave badly, for some reason it acted the same dang way mine do. Put ‘em in a corner, tell them to stay… some reason it doesn’t move😂😂
Keep these Videos coming!

I never buy the "Cheapest" rifle, and I can never afford the most "EXSPENSIVE"!
So, it's the mid-price choices for me. And these sort of guns have been serving the majority of Americans for generations!
It's nice to own the very best! BUT, for most of us, it just isn't an option.

I believe the sako is a controlled feed action and the ruger is a push feed action. This is a detail many people overlook when purchasing a firearm. Personally I want all my rifles to be controlled feed actions. Also something to consider is the ability to top load the Sako and inability to top load the ruger.

My family is Greenlandic so we love guns as it is a big part of our culture and way of life. And our family agrees that Sako is the right rifle company for us. Both me and my dad have a Mode 85, but I have a scope and a sling on mine. The model 85 is a fantastic and versitile rifle, its definitely way better than the Ruger, which is already a good rifle

So… you can accurate fire both rifles? Is there anything else to be said.

Practice and use the armaments you have on hand.

If you practice all of then enough you’ll be grand.

This is really a close analogy to microphones. You can buy the fancy one, but if you can’t use it, well that don’t matter.

Kinda like Mr. Donut said: I'm Aussie, we have guns, though I'm no gun nut.
This makes me feel... not sure how to put it, appreciative of fine workmanship, wherever it is found.
I'd be happy to pop a roo with either, but the little things like action and feel make blasting some helpless critter feel better.
Watched all the way to the end, and I thank you, sir. Well played.

For actual hunting I don't think it's worth taking the Sako. The Ruger appears to function just as well and it will hurt less to take a $400 dollar rifle out on the field than a nice $2000 rifle.
